We always stay here when visiting Thanet. There is a warm welcome and the staff can't do enough to make sure your stay is comfortable. It might not be on the seafront but there are plenty of regular buses to get you there.
Looking out to sea over Broadstairs’ Viking Bay, the Royal Albion has a magnificent location, on the seafront, yet also close to the heart of the town.

Seamless check in, gorgeous room. Really liked the contactless check in and delivered breakfast boxes - I deal with a lot of people for work so it was great to switch off and not have to small talk

We had a lovely room with a comfortable yellow chair coffee and tea and a mini bar with everything you can think of. There was nothing we could have wanted for. They thought of everything even an umbrella if it rained. We was very happy with the facilities and the hosts were exceptional very friendly and welcoming.

Really pretty, lovely clean sandy beaches. A small seaside town with only a small shopping area with small independent stores. Some nice restaurants.
As with many seaside towns there are some closed down shops and more maintenance needed in places, a little jaded in parts. However the main town Beach, Viking Bay is one of the prettiest I’ve seen. Residents were friendly and it felt safe.

Do not visit in the winter or when it is raining.
Do not visit in the winter or when it is raining. The menu is very limited at weekends and if there is a function at the time of visit, you can forget about any available facilities in the hotel.
We booked tea for one evening and this was extremely disappointing for the amount of money charged.

There are lots of independent cafés, restaurants and shops, beautiful sandy beach. It’s easy to visit nearby coastal towns like Margate where you can visit the Turner Contemporary - highly recommended.

Been scores of times over my life - this was the first long weekend to see relatives who now live in Broadstairs - it's a beautiful English seaside town with tons of history and the best beaches, I think, in the south of England - wonderful for summer swimming (especially stone bay). has a great community feel, good restaurants and pubs and is wonderful for kids and oldies alike.

we had a stake evening meal meal that was expensive and was a small portion for the price the cooked for was OK but not what i was expecting from what is presumed to be a high class hotel that fell well short of expectations. i would NOT stay there again mainly because there is NO parking at the hotel and it made exploring the area not some to do as you would not know where you could park the car when returning.
The hotel had a really nice vibe about this place , lovely building great location quirky rooms but functional, wait staff really helpful, as was the lady on check in at reception.
it’s not perfect a few holes in the service here and there , but well worth a stay we had great weather which always makes a huge difference, some great restaurants in Broadstairs these days which is another plus
The Yarrow is a really lovely hotel just a 10 minute walk into Broadstairs. We would rate the room we stayed in as a 5 star luxury room and we really enjoyed our stay. There is a lovely, well stocked and comfortable bar. The breakfast was very good as was our evening meal in the restaurant. We were not expecting the luxury standard of the hotel for the budget price we paid. Amazing value.
Beach, stones throw way , lovely coastal walks, Botany Bay Hotel nearby, lovely to sit and have a coffee , reflect and people watch, quiet and peaceful, Angie the owner on hand . living nearby so no problem with any questions you may have, nothing too much trouble, lovely new kitchen and bathroom, , very enjoyable stay , can't wait to go back !!
Amazing location and great accommodations right in the center of Broadstairs, perfect for exploring and enjoying the local beaches and Kent coast. Wife and I had a great stay in the quirky, clean, comfortable Smugglers Cottage with all the amenities one would need and easy (free) parking and many great restaurants less than 10 mins walk away.
Needed somewhere to stay for one night. The Crown Bar & Guesthouse came up on an Google search. Great location just a little off the sea front in Broadstairs. The room that I had used shared bathroom but that wasn't an issue with me. Other rooms have private facilities. A friendly welcome on arrival.
We were made to feel very welcome at this friendly family run hotel. The food was excellent and the room very comfortable and clean. Set in a lovely location with stunning views overlooking Stone Bay with easy access to the beach and within strolling distance of beautiful Broadstairs and Viking Bay.
This is the third time I have booked a room at botany bay hotel. The first was a family room which was excellent the last 2 times I have gone for the family super deluxe,me and the kids love it especially the room at the top which has a 360degree look over the surroundings.
Lovely cottage, super location close to the pretty town and great beach, probably the best location in East Kent. Super quiet but within easy walking distance of town, bars, restaurants and shops. Loved having the little courtyard garden too, thanks so much!
A really lovely, immaculately clean hotel opposite the beach. Staff were helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Excellent location for the beaches as well as main shops and restaurants in Broadstairs.
The property was located in a quiet and peaceful mess, just a few minutes walk from all the amenities in Broadstairs. It is spacious and well equipped, the beds are comfortable and the showers work really well.
The hotel is perfectly well situated in Broadstairs, in front of the beach and at 5mn walk to the city center. Beautifull vue on the sea.
Warm welcome and breakfast delicious !!
Excellent hotel. Have stayed before. Staff are freindly and helpful and go out of their way to make sure you are well loved and looked after. Excellent dinner and breakfast.
The apartment was very clean and comfortable It was well kitted out and so close to the beach with easy parking. I would highly recommend the host and the apartment
