The Fort Hotel, hotel in Broughty Ferry

The Fort Hotel is set in the heart of Broughty Ferry, 5 minutes’ walk from the seafront and the railway station. This family-run hotel has a restaurant, an award-winning whisky bar and popular pub.

The shower was mouldy around the bottom. The duvets were hardly big enough for the single beds. Biggest problem was that the ground floor bedroom was on the street level and as the hotel bar closed at 2am all those passing were loud and disruptive. We didn’t get to sleep till gone 3am. I know the bar can’t control the noise of customers on the street but when you’ve been told it’s a quiet room it’s very annoying. On the plus side the staff and food in the bar was good.

Beautiful apartments, well equipped, kitchen wasn't the biggest but had everything we needed. Met by the host on arrival and shown to our upgraded room, which gave as our own door to the rear of the property. Would definitely use The Clarendon again

A pleasant town which must be very good in summer.

A pleasant town which must be very good in summer. Easy access to main forms of travel and visiting surrounding areas. Dined at The Ship Inn which was very good and also the Glass House Pavillion for morning coffee/breakfast. Parking was problematic at times owing to the nature of the streets but was manageable.

Beautiful, bustling town full of welcoming people.

Beautiful, bustling town full of welcoming people. Lots of lovely places to eat and drink as well as an array of gift shops, many celebrating local produce or local artists. Also great for the kids, the park at the castle is fab and there's also pottery painting and a variety of other things to do. Would highly recommend a visit here! I also got my hair done while I was visiting at Freedom Hairdressers, they were fantastic! Special mention to the lovely Erin who created a beautiful hairstyle for me for a wedding I was attending, it stayed in all day/evening and I had lots of compliments on it!

Broughty Ferry is a pretty place to stay with plenty to see and do. There are fabulous pubs and restaurants to eat at reasonable prices. Easy access into Dundee by bus or train. Favourite restaurants were The Ship Inn and The Glasshouse (for coffee and tasty home baking) Lovely variety of shops. Castle well worth a visit and free to get in!

This is a nice little base to either stay local and enjoy the lovely little eateries and pubs and coastal walking or to travel out to other resorts north and south of the Tay. Forgans is superb for a special treat and The Anchor and The Ship are cosy and offer real hearty food and service. The Pavilion to the east of the centre travelling further away from Dundee is a fabulous coastal stop off for light food and a beer.

Home away from home. We had a short but lovely stay in Broughty Ferry. Our host Ilona was lovely and was there to greet us on arrival, she gave us all the necessary instructions and was available if we needed her. The location was very close to the promenade and railway station. We managed to get a park in the street outside the house. Very clean and cosy home, there was food available, lots of reading material, games etc. A lovely place to stay, would definitely recommend and would stay there again.

Location was perfect. Close to shops and all amenities including bus route and train station. Plenty places for dining and also take out places and a M&S food store within walking distance. Short walk to playground and beach. Spacious apartment. Liked the ensuite plus a family bathroom. Great view over the water from the upstair bedroom. An added plus having a parking place as Broughty Ferry is always hard to find a parking spot. Very clean. Had a washing machine. Great for a family.

The room was literally sparkling when we walked in. It was a 5 minute walk from the Main Street of Broughty Ferry. The bed was HUGE and so comfortable and the kitchen was set up with all facilities required including a big fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine and cooker. Everything was just so easy and it really felt like a holiday! I have recommended this place to a lot of friends and family and we will definitely be back.

The property is beautiful, clean and comfortable. Just a short drive some to downtown Broughty Ferry. There are several units in the house but you'd never know it. It's was a great place to set up base as it's just a short to drive (~1hr) to both Edinburgh and Aberdeen with Dundee just a few minutes down the road... it's also a good starting points farther north.

This was perfect accommodation for our family of 4 and a dog. Very close indeed to the town centre and we had no problems parking. We stayed at Xmas and really appreciated the decorations and gifts that were left. We visit relatives in Broughty Ferry a couple of times a year and would definitely stay here again.

A stunning flat. Brilliantly maintained by the owner. Only a 2 minute walk from the buzz of the pubs and restaurants in Broughty Ferry. Close to the beach too. We spent a lovely Hogmanay here and would stay at Manor Place again in a heartbeat.

The apartment was close to Dundee and not too far from Edinbrugh. Nice bonus to have a washer, dryer, and refrigerator. The beds were comfy with enough room for our group. The town of Dundee was adorable.
