Foyers House is a bit of a special place. Not many like it. The views, serenity and that little bit of isolation add to the feel of the place.
In a beautiful, tranquil location in picturesque Drumnadrochit, beside one of the most famous and romantic stretches of water in the world, this traditional Scottish hotel dates back to around 1740.

The village of Cannich is a small secluded hamlet...
The village of Cannich is a small secluded hamlet nevertheless, its central location with good road access to Glen Affric accommodates those who are interested in walking casual or something more demanding. Also its near enough to interesting locations for those who wish to explore further afield in a day. For example, Inverewe Gardens at Poolewe is a lovely drive, about two hours, through some outstanding countryside, the reward is a wonderful historic gardens, which has its own unique mini climate, with an unbelievable, large collection of plants and trees from all around the world, growing in the open, run by the NTS, well worth a visit.
