There for a wedding at Carlton Towers, Odddfellows is very well placed for the venue just a short walk. The Towers is one of the best stately homes I have seen pity it's not open to the public. Apparently the staff had left for pastures new so no chef to do the breakfast, not even an offer of a discount as breakfast was included in the price. No one around the following morning for checking out either. Some guests at the same wedding had booked over the phone but when they turned up no record of their booking!GaryUnited Kingdom

The room was spacious and comfortable and had everything you needed. Mitch and Caroline could not have been friendlier and the food was excellent for breakfast and dinner. Nothing was to much trouble for them even offering us a lift to our friends up the road. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

The owners 'literally' couldn't do enough for us and we got the impression this was exactly what they are like with everyone. Quiz nights on Sundays and unbelievable magic from the landlord. An incredible (if slightly surreal!!) stay. Loved it.

Cottage is really comfortable. Huge downstairs bathroom, cosy sitting room and 2 comfortable bedrooms upstairs. No kitchen or fridge. Kettle and tea/ coffee/ water provided. Lovely setting on edge of estate near Carlton pub and shop.
