Great location on the golf courses. Hotel provides great facilities, gym sauna indoor pool steam room etc, and The Rookery is a neat addition.
All needs well catered for.

Beautiful flat in central location, the town centre was a few steps away at the bottom of the hill, we ate in the local Indian restaurant and can recommend this. The beach is only a few minutes walk away too. As for the room, nice and warm, comfy bed, big TV, everything we needed. Friendly host and possibly the world's cutest dog.

If you want a quiet break or a base for travelling in Angus / Fyfe its great. Carnoustie itself only has about 4 good places to eat. The High street shops are still holding on - but typically only open from 10-4.
Public transport links are not great but if you have a car there's plenty of parking (and EV charging usually available).

The beach area, golf course and immediate surroundings were impressive, good restaurants located in those areas.
The town Main Street was very disappointing, this comment being based on previous descriptions of the town.
People were friendly, and helpful, particularly the local library staff with local tourist information available.

The staff as always were attentive, helpful and friendly without being obtrusive. The food was as good as it always is. Cooked to perfection and presented well. There are plenty things to do. Lots of walks in either direction from the hotel. A walk along the High Street looking at some independent shops. You can also take the train to Dundee, only 12 minutes, and see many cultural experiences. Or, just shop. Alternatively you can go North to Aberdeen and enjoy a day out there.

Staff from check in to check out were superb.
Check in desk, bar staff, waiting staff and spa staff all very friendly and helpful.
For anyone who doesn't know the hotel, it is ideal for Championship golf, for walking on the beach and surrounding area and for relaxation by the sea.
Hotel food is great but there are a few restaurants in Carnoustie or if you want the city, Dundee is 10 miles away, and full of restaurants..
Breakfast and dinner were cooked when ordered , so arrived fresh at the table. Choice was excellent, portions were huge. Rooms were clean and modern. Bedding was crisp white cotton, beds were comfortable. Tea and coffee were provided free of charge. There was a mini bar but we preferred the hotel bar.
Every member of staff we dealt with were really friendly and could not have done more to make us welcome.
We really enjoyed our visit and would stay again if we came back to Carnoustie.
Excellent location close to beach restaurants shops and bars, great transport link bus/train to other nearby towns Monifieth Broughty Ferry and Dundee . Off street parking is a bonus. Exceptional choice of continental/full breakfast. We booked the King room in this Guest House which was first class accomodation. Extremely comfortable. Lisa and Allan are first class hosts, Thankyou for your hospitality. We will be booking this guest house on our next visit to Carnoustie.
This cottage is a lovely little find, has everything you need, towels, iron, ironising board, oven, gas hob and kettle. Just to name a few items. Very comfortable, the family that own it are lovely and helpful. It’s not to far from lots of walking areas and the beach. Plus close to places of interest in Dundee and fife and also the golf course at Carnoustie. There is a farm cafe down the road which sells lovely cakes and scones.
We stayed in the golf apartment for 4 nights and this was perfect for our needs. Spacious and comfortable, this was great for 2 couples. Allocated parking space and stunning view of the golf course and sea beyond. The breakfast pack was superb; we couldn’t believe the quality and quantity of food provided. Great communication from hotel staff: Sandra and Alan were most helpful.
Very warm and welcoming staff, room was very comfortable, clean and with great views of the trains…I had my 6 year old grandson with me…. and sea beyond.
We ate in the restaurant in the evening and had breakfast in the morning….great choice, plentiful and delicious!
We have stayed at The Station Hotel many times over the years and always look forward to our return trips.
This Hotel is very well situated even for travelling with the Bus. Great value even in peak season when Hotel was very full. Outside of Hotel looks a bit dated but room was comfortable and clean. We had dinner that was great and very convenient to have in the Hotel overlooking Carnoustie golf course. Staff was very friendly and effecient.
Stayed here before but this time room only. Can recommend the rooms on the car park side of the hotel as lot quieter and can’t hear the trains which run during the night. Also cheaper than golf view rooms!. Leisure facilities all good but changing rooms could be cleaner.
Everything! Warm welcome from Lisa as soon as we arrived. Lovely top floor room with fab views of Carnoustie, golf course & the sea. Breakfast was delicious. Would definitely return & highly recommend & like others, wish we had booked for a longer stay. Thankyou Lisa 🙂
everything was first class ,the room was perfect it was like being in a 5 star hotel ,towels dressing gowns ,slipers etc ,good view of the sea even had binoculars in the room ,the breakfasr was perfect as much as you can eat ,will go again if iam in Dundee
Perfect for us. Lovely, quaint. clean room with a wonderful view. Excellent hosts, they made sure we had everything we needed. Yummy breakfast! A great location in the beautiful village of Carnoustie… plenty of on-site parking.
The staff were very happy to see us and very helpful in imparting information about the hotel and that if we had any questions, someone from the staff would be on hand to answer any questions.
This is a minimalist hotel well located in downtown Carnoustie - friendly staff and an easy check in experience. There is a grocery store just down the street that is very convenient.
Check in was professional. Bed was very comfortable. Good selection of foods for breakfast and tasty. Hotel situated in a good location for the activities that we were looking to do.
Lyn is a wonderful host who is very responsive and great to deal with. The Old Manor is nicely appointed & enjoyed the beautiful sea views. Breakfast was delicious every morning
Carnoustie is a fantastic location, the hotel was a convenient solution for having somewhere to stay at night during my holiday. The bar downstairs is fun & lively
