Room was immaculate and we had complimentary drinks as well. The breakfast was cooked fresh to order and had plenty to chose from. If we were in the area again would definitely stay there again.

Great welcome . We were shown our roomm and explanation of facilities. Really jovial and pleasant hosts who gave advice re local restaurants.
Really friendly vibe throughout the stay. Would come back happily
Nice room , great decor throughout.
Cheddar Village is lovely. Nice pubs, Café and gift shops.
Cheddar Village is lovely. Nice pubs, Café and gift shops. Can get quite busy at weekends. We stayed close enough to walk there. Surrounding places to visit include Glastonbury and Wells.
Walked the Gorge, Which is quite tough in places. There is a free route and you can come down Jacob’s ladder free of charge. (You pay to walk up it)
There are other flatter walks suitable for older people and children. Felt that the entry fee to the caves was very high £25 each.

Cheddar Gorge is very impressive.
Cheddar Gorge is very impressive. We had rather bad weather so wwren't able to walk along the top, which I imagine would be lovely on a good day. Gough's cave is worth visiting - and you get to see the cheese stored there. Cox' s cave is more of a new age experience with lights and sounds etc. Actually I think that it would have been rather intersting ib it's natural state!

Very interesting area, lots to see and do but the attractions all seemed very expensive. The gorge is really impressive though, Plenty of cafes and restaurants, we had a few good pub meals and lovely ice cream. Staff at the Riverside Inn were very helpful with providing gluten free food. Spent a nice day at the Chew Valley lakes where there is a gluten free chip shop (a rarity!).
Lovely countryside, however, it was very busy. The noisy bikes and cars whizzing around at over the speed limit spoiled it a bit for us. It was quite dangerous walking along the gorge in some places.

Cheddar Gorge is a fantastic natural phenomenon.
Cheddar Gorge is a fantastic natural phenomenon. Exploring the caves is an absolute must and you are given a Wi-Fi device to use for an audio explanation as to how the caves were formed.
Jacobs Ladder isn’t for the faint hearted, 274 steps in all but once at the top a short climb up the viewing tower is a must, amazing view all round.
We walked along the path at the top of the gorge which just keeps giving more and more spectacular photo opportunities.
I would recommend you go earlier in the morning to ensure you get a parking place as during the later part of the morning everything seemed to be very busy .
Plenty of little cafes and quaint tea rooms to check out but beware of the prices !!

Location only Not "hotel" its a pub
Location only Not "hotel" its a pub
This place is a glorified pub.It was crowded in the bar on arrival with no quiet reception area. You just have to join the pub crowd at the bar. Good job I left my luggage in the car.
There is no comfy lounge or quiet space whatsoever. The room was big noisy with windows that did not close. The Bathroom is in need of TLC. It was draughty & cold.
The guy who received me was polite but the woman in the morning was positively rude to me. The girl serving breakfast looked like she was doing me a favour- she was hostile with no eye contact. Breakfast was disgusting with stale muffins Lathered in Hollandase; this was not stated on menu & is disgusting to me. The spinach beneath the eggs were sopping wet with water seeping into the muffins. Having driven from Falmouth this was a huge disappointment. It is not a Hotel just a pub with rooms so do not be misled by the lovely architecture of Bath stone!
The location was excellent to experience all that Cheddar Gorge has to offer, although up a fairly steep hill so if you’re not one for walking you would need a car, as we did!! There was a big open fireplace with logs aplenty left for your enjoyment. While the accommodation looks big from the outside, it’s not at all big on the inside but perfectly formed with some beautiful beams. The walk-in shower very powerful. The property also has everything you’ll need on your stay.
The property has good car parking, and accomodation is quite. The property is located just 1 mile from Cheddar Gorge. We were welcomed by property owner (Mag) and took us to room. Room is quite spacious and maintained well. The bathroom is well maintained. The Rooms have a common kitchen and well equipped. I would recommend travellers to make the choices (based on availability) and stay here. They provide multiple types of Breakfast services too.
Lyn, the hostess, made my stay extra special. She went out of her way to make me feel welcome and ensure I had everything I need. She also left me a home made chocolate and treat to have with a cuppa.
Cheddar is a very pretty village and a great place to visit. It is also handy to Bristol airport, being only a 20 minute drive.
The room is a very comfortable and cosy studio apartment suitable for a couple or single traveller.
Stayed in one of the static caravans. Lovely location with parking right outside the door, patio doors onto decking overlooking the river. Very comfy bed, good size open plan lounge/diner area with nice big sofas and a decent TV. Quite well equipped, most of things we needed to cook were provided. A welcome pack with information about the area would have been nice though. No towels provided but gave us some when we asked.
Great location in a small adult only ,well maintained site. friendly and helpful staff . Hard stand dedicated parking next to the static and a view of the small stream from the 'lounge'. Good facilities in the static, in fact we felt very comfortable in all areas.
The site is very close to Cheddar and to the Gorge as well as having easy access to nearby towns. we were able to do walks from the doorstep, great.
This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the Bath Arms before Christmas. The hotel restaurant and pub area are so inviting: two fires going, lovely decorations and fine food and beverages. The community support for the restaurant is obvious, and the staff are helpful and conversational. Comfortable beds, nice toiletries and parking is easy, behind the hotel. Can't wait to come back.
The Stables were a fabulous place to stay. Everything you could wish for and need...a real home from home. A great location too, being only 10 mins or so to Cheddar and 20 mins or so to Wells (both great days out). Hosts were lovely and we'd definitely recommend everyone to stay there.
Comfortable bed, warm cottage, beautifully furnished, well equipped, parking off road behind accommodation, hosts are on hand and available for any help needed.Quiet at night.Use of garden should you wish to,near pubs short stroll away and Cheddar village further on.Everything we needed.
Beautifully decorated to a very high standard. Very comfortable - had everything we wanted and more. Stunning views with a lovely outside seating area and also a big window in the lounge. Perfect location, easy drive to Cheddar, Wells, Street, and Glastonbury.
Friendly welcome, made to feel at home. Tailor made breakfast personally delivered to the accommodation.
8 minute walk to Cheddar village so able to avoid excessive parking charges in the gorge itself.
Room was clean and modern. All facilities we needed.
Immaculate facilities, 1st class service from the owners & staff; cheddar gorge & caves & plethora of eating venues within walking distance. Extremely quiet & a peaceful ambience is felt. A must for repeated visits. Brilliant experience!!!
This is an excellent hotel. The staff are wonderful, the room was big and spotless, the pool was a huge hit with the kids and the location in cheddar is unbeatable. I would love to come back again
Everything! Hotel, restaurant & food was great. Staff were brilliant, very warm & friendly. Love the extra touches, extra water, treats and little jugs of milk for the room was just great!
Thank you for a lovely stay! The caravan is super modern and comfortable with pretty views of the fields and trees around. We visited Wookey Hole and did a walk at Cheddar Gorge.
Location was ideal as we were visiting Cheddar Gorge for my wife's birthday. The breakfast was outstanding. The staff are excellent and can not do enough for you.
Great lay out with plenty of space. It had everything we needed for our stay. Location was perfect being a short distance away from Cheddar and 2 pubs close by.
That was one of the best experience I ever had - Kind people, amazing breakfast and well tasting beer. If you are near Cheddar - this is the place to stay!
