Chelmsford has good shops and restaurants. When we travel down by train we have easy access around places using the bus service. Train and bus stations or taxis are easy to get to. One of our favorite places to eat was the indian restaurant in Moulsham street.

Chelmsford is a lovely, friendly city with a great atmosphere. Shopping is a dream here and the old buildings in it give it character and charm. It is also clean and tidy. Can't wait to go back. Public transport is very good.

Great fun for the hen do!
Great fun for the hen do! The best taxi firm in Essex we found, after a lot of hassle from others, was ‘Your Cabbie’. Graham was our driver and was our knight in shining taxi! 01245 354040, highly recommend!

Having lived in Chelmsford since 1960 i have seen lots of changes, i have now moved away but still go back to visit family, it is a lovely town with lots of nice shops and plenty of places to eat. There is a Cathedral in the centre of town which is worth going to see.Not much more to say except that it is a good place to visit if you are in nearby Colchester and the coastal towns of Clacton Walton and Frinton.
1) The booking attracted a discounted rate. The location suited us as it was fairly close to family who live near by.
2) The bedding appeared to be clean, though we were reluctant to check beneath the pillow & mattress protectors!
3) Sufficient utensils and crockery.
4) There is a bus stop outside the property should you wish to visit Chelmsford town centre.
5) Co-Op around the corner to buy essentials.
6) This is a good sized property. It could be significantly improved without too much expense.
This property is beautifully located by the River Chelmer in an upmarket development a few minutes walk just outside of Chelmsford city centre. The apartment is in a brand new development with modern furnishings, comfortable beds and sofa. Everything was exquisitely clean with adequate toilet roll etc. The host was very helpful and approachable and a pleasure to deal with. All pictures matched the apartment and was not dated or innacurate. Highly recommended!
Staff were brilliant and the service provided really good. Cannot fault it. We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and a small room and lunch for after the funeral we were in Chelmsford for. All really good. Friendly, happy staff. There were Christmas lunches and meetings going on so they were busy but very helpful. Our young waiter in the restaurant couldn't have been better. Highly recommended
It’s brilliant, lovely old village pub and garden with an interesting history and friendly staff. Laid back atmosphere, modern room with all mod cons in separate extension. All situated in rolling Essex fields within easy reach of Chelmsford. Recommend the eggs Benedict for breakfast.
Nice location and well presented property with nice and well appointed rooms. Decoration and feel of property were very nice, a really pleasant country hotel located close to town.
Close enough to Chelmsford train station to walk. Two supermarkets on the doorstep to assist with self catering but there are a variety of eateries very close by as well.
Lovely house in gorgeous location. Good transport links to Chelmsford, and plentiful parking at the property.
The breakfast was tasty, with quality ingredients.
It was a beautiful apartment with great facilities, comfortable beds, really nice decor and in a fantastic location. Ideal for a weekend break in Chelmsford!
