The pool was good. Reception was interesting and not very clear about checking in so I ended up logging my bags around most of the site only to return to the same place to check in!

Very good location - Jennifer is a lovely host - was like visiting an aunt. Felt quite at home - and Gelert was such a friendly dog. Would love to visit again.

Our host, who lived next door, was warm and friendly and made us feel very welcome. We were in a twin bed room that had plenty of space, was quiet at night and had it's own bathroom. The bnb was ideally placed in a hamlet between Chepstow and Tintern. We would definitely stay here again. Very good value for money with good off road parking.

The property was self contained, private and extremely peaceful. The location was superb and met my needs totally.

The castle and architecture, particularly at that end of town, is nice and the setting lovely. Tintern Abbey is a 6 mile bus ride away and well worth seeing. Unfortunately, you can't walk along the River Wye to it; the designated walk takes you well away from the river on both banks, though this is somewhat due to sheer cliffs! Not much else to see and do in the immediate area and no Sunday buses, so a better midweek break or day trip than a weekend break for non-drivers like myself.
I go for the Chepstow Wassail and Mari Lwyd event on a Saturday in January and tend to stop off elsewhere on the route home on the Sunday because there's no way to get anywhere locally.

Evening meal we had in the bar area, which we appreciated had a limited menu, three of us ordered chicken burger, which too over 30 minutes to arrive, the chicken was tough and over cooked. Taxi was extortionate costing £29.00 to go less than 3 miles - recommended by the hotel! Service is poor when the hotel is full - they do not cope well.

We didn’t go into Chepstow as we were there for the races on 24 th August. It was a perfect stay. The apartment was perfect in every way. Only needed food but the farm shop had all needs.
There wasn’t a pub but take own or buy in farm shop.
Lovely view towards the river.

Very pretty small town with lots of pubs, cafes and eating places to choose from. The beautiful castle set on the river is obviously a big attraction and Chepstow is a great base to visit many other places. Tintern Abbey is just up the road and Raglan Castle is a must see.

Chepstow is a delightful town with many interesting attractions not the best is undoubtedly Chepstow Castle. It has been fantastically well preserved and the wonder of Tintern Abby is a must for anyone staying in or near Chepstow.
Several different types of restaurants including a gem of an Italian one at the bottom of the town just below Chepstow bridge

Chepstow is a lovely place to stay.
Chepstow is a lovely place to stay. There are lovely walks to the castle and river.
There are lots of different restaurants and eateries. The people are very friendly and helpful too.
Great central stay for the Forest of Dean or Bristol.
The boathouse on the river is a fantastic please to eat and drink. The atmosphere is very friendly with music in the background. Outside area really comfortable and pretty surrounded by lovely smelling plants.
Some of the roads in town are narrow and one way and quite hilly so people with disabilities may struggle a little with getting around.
Found the place, ncp right next door ! Bonuscas pouring with rain ! Pub was full bing a Friday afternoon. Booking in stress free and taken to room. Proper older wordle with separate full bathroom proper old school. All centuries old wood and stone panelling, really quirky which we both love. View of Chepstow Castle from garden. Definitely worth a stay as Chepstow Town lots if bespoke shops etc and Racecourse 10 mins by vehicle.
The location is great and it was bigger than expected, plenty of parking close to town centre but in a quiet location, beds were comfortable. Washing machine and dishwasher are hardly for a family stay. Sofas are comfortable and decorated nicely throughout. Even though there is wifi available the 5g signal in the area is great. all round a pleasant two night would book again if cleaning is addressed.
Staff all friendly and happy. Massage was lovely (pay extra for it). Pool , jacuzzi steam and sauna area all good and spacious. Plenty of room for getting changed and showered etc . Nice shower gels , also towels if required. Plenty choice for breakfast, nice food . Fair choice of ales etc. Nice room overlooking the lake
Dinner was great, beer was cold, and music was awesome! People were extremely friendly and it was a fun experience. I needed good WIFI for a few online meetings, and it worked perfectly. The area around the hotel has a ton of other restaurants and shops. Highly recommended.
Loved the view of the river Severn that I had from my room. I also appreciated how it was in the middle of town, and that you could tell the hotel was possibly from the later middle ages. Overall, the hotel was in a great location for exploring a bit of Chepstow.
Location is great. In the town centre and a few minutes walk to everything. Easy booking and nice staff. Parking behind the building is good and no problems to find a space. The room is a bit small but not bad; adequate for what I needed.
The Beaufort hotel is ideally located in the town center with parking available. The room was clean and comfortable with good facilities. Breakfast was also very good. The staff did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable.
What is there not to like about Riverside. Perfectly cozy with everything provided for a long weekend away. So peaceful and ideally located within short walking distance of the town centre, railway station and castle.
Very nice rooms, comfortable beds.
Good location with the town centre within walking distance. Plenty of parking.
The adjoining Marstons pub is a very nice pub which serves good food.
The pub is very old, very characterful and quirky. Breakfast very good, the location was perfect for us, next to the castle and short walk to town centre. We will certainly go back.
Very comfortable and roomy. The common area is a bonus with a full kitchen for guests use and a front parlor area too. Lots of character and a great location.
