We had a fantastic stay at The White Swan. Everything was top rate, delightful room, great attentive staff and simply wonderful food. Amazing breakfasts, wonderful cake in the room each day - and truly special dinners, some of the best dishes that we have had for some time. A brilliant base to explore the wonders of the region. Staff very helpful & accommodating. We booked this hotel for convenience as we were taking part in a cycle sportive the following day with start & finish in Wooler. The chef kindly offered to come in 1 hour earlier so we could set off sooner on cycle event.

Amazing room with cute kitchenette. Spotlessly clean. Fabulous bathroom with nice quality toiletries. Really tasteful touches and an artistic decorative styling. Loved it! We will definitely stay here again as we visit Northumberland often.

Beautiful Georgian house, with large well maintained grounds. We stayed in one of the suites, which consisted of bedroom with super-king bed, bathroom with a gorgeous rolltop bath and large separate shower, and a sitting room. Handy having a fridge in the room as I have medicine that must be kept cold. It was quiet and peaceful, and with the comfy bed, we slept really well. Breakfast had lots of choices and all very well cooked. Michelle couldn't do enough for us and made us very welcome. Easy drive to Bamburgh Castle, Lindisfarne, Sea Houses and Alnwick. Lots of local pubs to eat in. We loved our stay here.

Beautiful setting, friendly & welcoming staff, well stocked bar and delicious food that was locally sourced. Had dinner and breakfast and they were fresh, flavoursome and cooked to order. Service was superb, the team couldn't do enough to ensure our visit was brilliant. The room was luxurious, very clean and comfortable and a peaceful night's sleep.
