Location was close to where we needed to be so that was great. The property was excellent with modern fitout to a period building in a rural setting. The room was warm on a cold day and very quiet and the beds were comfortable. The host was excellent and provided us with local information.

We only needed a place to stay for one night and stayed here due to its location and cost. The breakfast was good, small portions but good quality. Tea/coffee would be better if they were in a teapot/coffee pot than from a machine. Checking in staff made us feel welcome. Rooms good size but surprised how many scratches and dents were on the furniture.

It was very peaceful if you need that get away feel .
It was very peaceful if you need that get away feel . Excellent continental breakfast and the eggs were fresh from the owners chickens . Nice view into country side . Host Kim and Gary were very friendly and helpful . The only thing I would say is if you are tall be careful with your head on the side of the room as the walls slant up to the ceiling as it is a barn conversion . Just remember to duck your head 😊

Beautiful countryside, lots of interesting places to visit.Thames, and Henley are lovely towns all with great shops and restaurants. We travelled to The Frog at Skirmett for Sunday lunch ,it was superb !! Fantastic food .The reason for our trip to this area was a visit to Chiltern Valley Winery for a wine tasting experience ,this I can highly recommend ! Very informative ,lovely to see the vineyard ,and how the final product tastes! They also have a micro brewery and do the most incredible liquors . Well worth a visit .

Restaurant food really really tasty and served piping hot and in good time.
Man at reception/bar so so rude, no smiles no warmth and the way he spoke to us was like we were an inconvenience. After having to be served by him twice my partner actually asked him is everything ok and is there a reason that you are speaking to us like that.
Lovely room, quite old fashioned but it didnt matter as it was Immaculate.

The location is lovely if you're looking for somewhere quiet and peaceful to stay. All the staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome, We had a nicely cooked evening meal with a good choice of menu. The breakfast was superb.
It is a place where you can feel and enjoy the culture, hospitality and kindness of the English people. A nice hotel with a nice, well frequented by the locals, inn/pub. You feel there like you are welcome - local and part of the local society.
A big, free parking. Not that far from the last stations of the London Underground - an option for a day trip to London, if you don't want to drive your car into London.
Big, very nice English breakfast included.
Third visit to this hotel as it is very handy for M40. Large room, fairly quiet considering how close it is to motorway.
Bar area is small, but plenty of outside seating now screened from the road, and can also sit in the lounge area with drinks.
Bar and reception staff very friendly and helpful.
I stayed here twice on successive weekends. Big attractions for me were the location and the availability of electric car fast charging facilities. As it turned out the hotel staff were outstanding, bar and restaurant were good and the room large and comfortable.
The breakfast was very tasty and included good quality produce. A choice of cereal, fruit and juices to have before the main cooked breakfast. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Paula made us feel very welcome as did the locals.
Lovely clean spacious rooms, really friendly attentive staff, lovely food, good portions, relaxing grounds, you get what pay for which in this case means you get a quality stay in a lovely hotel. We will be visiting again.
Fabulous breakfast, hot breakfast cooked to order, plus tea, coffee, juice, cereals and fruit, including strawberries. Room was spacious and bed comfortable. Location good for us as we were visiting Chinnor railway.
Fabulous rooms very spacious. Overlooking local countryside. Travelled with the family dog and two children. I want to thank the hotel for making our one night stay extremely comfortable.
