A lovely old house and a welcoming and very comfortable hotel with good food and friendly staff. It is conveniently situated near cycle routes and can store bicycles securely overnight making it an excellent stopover for cyclists. This was our third visit and we will be back.

We stayed close to the John Muir Way, an old railway line converted to a good footpath. Use this if you don't want to drive and intend to visit Strathblane (for the pub/lunch/evening meal) and beyond. Excellent walking in the area.
