Right from the start this is a wonderful place to stay - beautiful, peaceful location and a lovely old building. The welcome from the girl manning reception/ serving dinner was truly exceptional as was all of the service we had there. We had a lovely, comfortable room with a great shower. The food was delicious and the dining room is lovely with wonderful views. Can't recommend this place enough. There was even home made shortbread in the room. So nice!

A fabulous find. A modern, stylish and very well equipped room in a wonderful scenic location. The host was extremely helpful and easy to deal with. We also appreciated the minibar stocked with complimentary soft drinks. A great place to stop for a night when cycling round the 5 ferries route.

Double bed was two single beds together. Slight dip in the centre
Breakfast: Full breakfast was good. Smoked salmon and scrambled egg: the salmon was pale and too salty and the scrambled egg was tasty but firm (it depends on your interpretation of scrambled egg). Staff were friendly and attentive (extra toast!!)
Didn't use the bar so can't comment on prices or service
Struggled with the online television....
Overall a good place to stay, quiet location not far from the town centre.
We'd stay again

Although the new owners have a long way to
go on the room/hotel refurbishments at the time of our visit, we can definitely see what they are looking to achieve. The owners and staff were always welcoming and attentive to our needs. My family and I look forward to staying again and seeing their progression on our next visit to Dunoon. We are looking forward to the VIP treatment they gave us on our recent visit again.

This was a 21st birthday present for my Daughter and the owners even brought her a bottle of wine and some home-made Vegan Flapjacks as a welcome. She will definately be going back to this property as she also got engaged there. They love the place.

The Clachan is quite a distance down the glen, so is isolated, however, for quietness and wildlife it is a glorious place.once off the main road it is a short distance to village and you can travel down the glen over the hump bridge.and down the farm road to the old watermill which was my destination. There are several walking routes in the area and the glen and surrounding countryside is full of historical sites.Check out the church at kilmodan.
