although I was only there for a short time I enjoyed my stay. the town was close to my hotel and it was clean and tidy. there is plenty to do if you have children. I had a meal at the local chip shop which I believe was called geo on the main high ST. very good food and service. I visited some shops and the staff in the shops where in good spirits and helped the customers.

We just wanted a couple of quiet nights away, For a family with young children who are on a budget it’s a good way to get away for a few days. Weather plays a big part but the beach isn’t bad, the pier and amusements can easily kill a rainy afternoon plenty of places to eat and drink Fairly cheap and basic seaside town but it’ll keep the kids happy

    I think Clacton-on-Sea is a lovely town.

I think Clacton-on-Sea is a lovely town. The garden walk at the seafront is beautiful any time of the year; there are plenty of seats. There are loads of reasonable restaurants in Clacton and lots of activities for children. There is a very good Wetherspoon pub near the seafront. A good range of shops.

Vastly improved, very friendly, some excellent restaurants and food. Great beaches that are sandy ! I would not spend time on the pier, but its been restored very well, and huge gaming area and rides etc.

    Clacton not too bad.

Clacton not too bad. But Jaywick where the caravan was is terrible, down and out people everywhere and run down properties. Fly tipping on the road to site. We had two nights but only stayed one night as couldn’t wait to get home

The description was spot on. There was nothing unexpected. Everything was lovely and clean. All the amenities worked and were easy to use. The location was ideal for our needs as was the facility to park. It was our first time visiting Clacton on Sea, but if we come back I'm sure that we will look at staying here again. The host communicated well with all the information required prior to arrival. Would we recommend it - yes Would we return - yes

Fantastic area, short walk to lovely beach, was just looking for a hotel room too and it just popped up, much better than a hotel but hadn't considered an apartment as thought it would be more expensive ( it wasn't, it was cheaper) Very clean lovely decor and everything to a very high standard, in fact it was brilliant, and if it just had the few things sorted out below I would give it 6 stars.

Our room was spacious and clean on arrival. Really comfortable bed and nice shower with overhead waterfall option. Breakfast was included with our room rate, and was very nice. We also ate in the Greek Taverna restraunt in the evening, lots of drinks choice and food was lovely. The hotel is directly opposite clacton pier so great location and parking is available at the back (24hrs was £12)

The hotel for us was extremely well positioned as it lies between both sets of relatives that we were visiting, enabling us to walk to both and not have to use the car. Parking was good and free, so this was good. Breakfast and evening meals were also very good, except a minor complaint on the last morning where the poached eggs at breakfast were stone cold.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Both rooms were excellent with the seaview. Unfortunately, we had to check out early and missed the breakfast. We were there to attend a funeral from Clacton on Sea to Colchester Cemetry and were not able to make it back to the hotel. Overall rating: Excellent Hope to visit again Thank you for the hospitality

Very close to the pier, fantastic walk along the coast to Holland on Sea and on to Walton on the Naze.. Have never seen so many beautiful, colourful and different beach huts. You won't need your car. Just leave it in front of the hotel. Quiet room, you can hear the sea gulls in the morning...lovely! Hot shower! Relaxing!

The hotel itself was lovely, very clean and well decorated. The staff were nice and polite too. breakfast in the morning was very nice - not too much just the right amount. The location of the hotel was great right on the seafront and not near the busy clacton pier.

I actually liked the rustic feel of the hotel, but I can see how it wouldn’t be for everyone. It was incredibly close to pubs, the beach, restaurants, I loved that. The staff were friendly too.

Better contact the hotel directly. I paid 157 Pound for one night, the worker said the booking is inflating the prices, if you book directly with hotel it is much cheaper and you get breakfast.
