This was a great hotel - unusual and quirky - with fantastic service from all members of staff.
The food was excellent, especially the evening meal.
A really delightful place to spend a couple of nights.
Lovely hotel and restaurant. We ate there for both nights of our stay and the food was excellent and good value (although the wine range is large and not inexpensive). Non-wine drinks are good value, with a nice range of local spirits and beers.
Easy parking on site or on road, very quite and good location for exploring Cotswolds. Nice, comfortable and cosy bar rooms.
The breakfast was amazing. The service from staff was promp and polite and on the first morning we were shown where everything was. When we checked into the hotel we were told that only continental was included in our room rate. This isn’t a hotel issue but a booking.com problem that needs to be made more clear for other guests booking through the same website
The food was delicious, we ate at the hotel restaurant both nights and in particular the scallops were probably the best I’ve ever tasted.
The staff were really helpful, we had some issues with our room since the heating wasn’t working and members of the team were trying within their means to help by providing complimentary hot drinks to our room.
Bedroom was lovely, large, comfortable with an excellent bed. Staff were great, very well managed hotel. Fantastic value for money. Building is lovely, very well decorated. One of the best hotels we have stayed in in England.
The Double Red Duke is a gorgeous and delightful inn with warm, helpful personnel and a fabulous kitchen. Located at a quiet crossroads in the village of Clanfield in the Cotswolds, you can get anywhere in the area quickly.
Happy, friendly and energetic staff, very welcoming and friendly.
A great hotel with extensive facilities and lots of space to eat, drink and relax.
Large, comfortable and well appointed bedroom.
Great hidden hotel in a little village. Food was superb 5 starts, one must have dinner at this Hotel a real gourmet food. rooms were big, bathrooms real antiques but beautiful.
Great time at the Double Red Duke - we have stayed in other hotels that were done up by the same team and they always live up to expectations.
will definitely come back.
Absolutely fantastic stay. The most beautiful food and wonderful staff. Would book this hotel again in a heart beat. The room was lovely, couldn't fault anything
