Longlands Inn & Cottages, hotel in Claughton

The Longlands Inn & Cottages is located in a lovely rural setting, yet only 5 minutes from the M6 motorway.

Excellent location, with a smashing canal walk right behind the hotel. And across the road there's a farm with llamas and ostriches. The restaurant is top notch, so the breakfast was excellent. And started at a good time too (from 7.30am, which we working people need). My room (No 1) wasn't big, and was right above the bar, but the TV had working iPlayer, which I took advantage of.

Situated in a rural Slyne. Lovely area. Friendly staff. Foods was fantastic. Couldnt do enough for us. Rooms were clean. Large room. Really comfortable bed. Loved that we could take our dog. Located on the ground floor, easy access for our pooch to nip out to toilet. Loved that we could see the sea from our room.

The room was nicely decorated and equipped. The en-suite was stunning Most probably one the best we have had with a room. The bar / restaurant area is the quintessential English pub setting. With an extensive Menu and Wine list..at around average restaurant pricing. The staff were nice and friendly. We would certainly reccomend it and if around that area again would definitely book it for longer as we only stayed the one night to break up a long distance journey
