The hotel is stunning, tucked right away in the countryside in a quaint little village. The rooms lend themselves perfectly to the location and were decorated fabulously. Every little touch had been considered - even the radio being on as you enter the room upon check in.
The view from the window was beautiful and felt like a proper escape from the daily hustle and bustle.
We ate at the hotel both nights we stayed and both days for breakfast and the food was delicious (especially the Sunday roast). The staff were friendly and very accommodating.
We will be returning and recommending to family!

staff could not be more friendly and helpful. location was good, however no car parking could be reserved and local pub visitors used up the spaces.

Colyford is a small, quiet place with beautiful buildings, enough inland to enjoy the scenery but near to many coastal resorts. The pubs are all very nice and providing you eat meat, their menus are good. As veggies, we had to travel a little further. But the area is so lovely, this was no hardship.

The hotel's location is close to the border of East Devon...
The hotel's location is close to the border of East Devon and West Dorset and is very conveniently placed for all the local seaside beauty spots such as Beer and Branscombe. Not forgetting the Jurassic coastline. The seaside town of Seaton is just two miles away which offers plenty of pubs, coffee houses and restaurants.
Amazing hotel and family!!
A beautifully presented room, run by a fabulous family who could not have done enough to help me enjoy my stay. They went over and above expectation to make me welcome and ensure I had everything I needed or required. The service and food was superb. Phillippa, their youngest daughter was the perfect hostess, welcoming me at the door and delivering me early morning breakfast to the room with her adorable, gorgeous smile. Thankyou all so much for making me so welcome, I will be back!
Excellent breakfast. You select what you want on a sheet the night before, and select a time (at 15 min intervals). Lots of home made ingredients. We had a large room with a great view, and a very comfortable bed. The owners are lovely people. Parking is round the back. There are two pubs within walking distance, both serve food. The Nature reserves are walking distance away, Seaton is 1.5 miles. There's an electric tram from Seaton to Colyford which we used once. Great fun.
The hotel is well placed and easy to find with car parking to the rear. The owners are a delight and offer a wonderful welcome to their guests with cake awaiting you on arrival. Excellently fitted out rooms with good quality furnishings. Beautiful en-suite and the highest cleanliness standards.
