We always love the ambience and beauty of Matfen Hall! The rooms are beautiful and clean and the spa is relaxing too! Rooms are above a lovely traditional pub right in the centre of Hexham. We were concerned about the noise levels but there was only a little background buzz. Really comfy beds and great shower with plenty of hot water. Room and bathroom really clean and look like they have been recently decorated. We found parking nearby without too much trouble and really enjoyed our stay here. Staff couldn't have been friendlier 🙂

The location and room were excellent for our walk along the Hadrian's Wall path. The food was superb and I should have booked the hotel for 3 days and not 2. > fantastic stay. Thank you. Olivia was an absolute star. Very friendly, professional with a great sense of humour.
