Best thing about our stay was the young lady who booked us in. Very professional, friendly and helpful. First impressions at the check-in desk can colour your impression of any hotel. Generally though, as we were only saying for one night prior to flying, we had a very nice room and an excellent night's sleep.

    Breakfast on the first day was Brilliant. Great scrambled eggs, Northumberland sausage very tasty, beans just right, hash browns expertly cooked. Overall Great. staff very friendly and competent. The room was a good size. nice firm mattress. The Interior of all public rooms was lovely. Old world style with period original features from its former life as a barn Plenty of parking near the accomodation. Very handy for Northumberlandia site

    Lovely atmosphere in the adjoining pub and the menu looked great although we didn't get a chance to eat there. Very comfortable and quiet room. Staff very helpful and posted back a scarf that I left in the room. Will efinitely stay again when we next go to Newcastle.

    Very clean hotel and restaurant with good food, plenty of choice for drinks, breakfast just ok which has to be paid for. Walking distance to take a look at Lady of the North ( The laid down lady) Brilliant parking with plenty of room if you're in something nice.

    It was very easy to check in and check out. The breakfast was substantial and very, very well cooked. Our room was very conveniently on the ground floor, perfectly temperate and no noise was experienced. We will definitely return when next in the area.

    Great for being away with work for a week or more. A lot more comfortable than a hotel room. Great size, off street parking, very nice bathroom and a very large and comfy bed. Internet very fast, allowing for streaming without any issues.
