Breakfast was excellent - except for the toast (see below). The location is perfect for a peaceful break in a stunning part of Scotland. Dinner in the main restaurant was very good. Service was very good.

The location was perfect for our needs. There are beautiful gardens to stroll in around the house. There was a tray of delicious home baking, along with teas, milk, butter and bread to welcome us. We had the host's contact number for any queries.

The Porters Rest Shepherds Hut is lovely. Really well provisioned with the beautiful outside bath. A really special place with everything you could need from bathrobes, toiletries, teas and coffees plus a funky record player. Lots of fun and the owners were really helpful.
