Everything was excellent - the welcome from the hosts, the beautiful property & location, the quality of the well-appointed bedroom & the marvellous breakfast freshly cooked to order. We stayed at a number of different properties whilst doing the NC500 and this was by far our favourite.
Just 20 minutes from Inverness, Kincraig Castle Hotel is a period property with magnificent views, and boasts a central location for exploring the north of Scotland.

Convenient stop off en route to Orkney. Dinner in the pub was good. We had the cottage in the carpark which was fine but felt a bit in need of some TLC.

A quiet week with lots to do. Was quiet with locals rather than tourists around. Would suggest to leave till after Easter time as gets busier and places are open more frequently. I am related to people who live in the town so know more things to do

Lovely wee town, so picturesque and very friendly.
Lovely wee town, so picturesque and very friendly. Shame the options to eat out are a bit limited with just the one hotel at the moment (which was by the way lovely). Hopefully some of the other eating establishments will be back up and running soon as it is a super wee place to visit and the variety would only add to the experience. So interesting and lots of nice walks and history to absorb. Particular mention of Calluna ladies boutique who were open sat and sun and couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. Will def visit again.

Beautiful place to stay. Great base to tour the Black Isle. Relaxing and interesting area. We ate in the Factor's House and wandered along the sea front. Folk were swimming in the sea and loads of interesting places to visit.

Restful little town with lovely views of Cromarty Firth from the Links. Royal Hotel is in a prime position and provides a welcoming setting for a short stay. We ate in the hotel during our stay because the selection on the menu was varied and tasty.

Cromarty is small but a lovely place to visit and walk around. The views are fantastic. The sea and country views are lovely and even the oil rigs being decommissioned or refitted look spectacular when lit up at night. There are some great walks around the shoreline and over South Sutor. Not many places to eat out but we tried them and they were fine. Handy local shops.
The cottage had everything we required for our stay. It was a real home from home. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and equipment. The two living rooms meant there was plenty room to relax. The cottage was ideally situated for getting to the beach. There were plenty of nice walks and it was an ideal location for taking the dog. Cromarty is a hidden gem. There is lots to see and do in the village and in the surrounding area.
We stayed in the old shoe shop. The one bedroom apartment was exceptional and so well stocked. Shirley and Alasdair were so welcoming and made our stay memorable. I would have given it ten stars if possible and certainly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting a central stay in the lovely town of cromarty.
Everything. The welcome basket had a lot of thoughtful touches, the whole property was cosy, homely and comfortable. There were excellent options for dining out in Cromarty, and the whole town is very picturesque. We had a lovely stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.
Lovely, historical but fully modernised, house with fantastic views over the Cromarty Firth. Room was large and fully equipped with all mod cons. Both the set dinner (optional but highly recommended) and the cooked breakfast were excellent. Very friendly and informative host.
Great location; really comfortable room & bed; very welcoming, personable hosts (+ excellent breakfast)
Hosts recommended Fishertown Inn in Cromarty which was rammed (due to skiff racing weekend) but brilliant - they found us a table, food & beer were great
Lovely little hidden gem within the streets of Cromarty.
Excellent use of space with the fold down bed and decking outside. Lovely bright and clean studio which we would consider again, if and when we visit the Black Isle again.
