Everything. Kes and her staff went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one. The units were spacious and comfortable. The atmosphere was warm and happy. We stayed at 7 venues during the month we spent in the UK. The Horse and Groom was by far the best. Indeed, we were so comfy that we just stayed on in the Cotswolds for the remainder of our vacation instead of travelling on to Ireland and Wales as planned. We will be back. .
Set in the Cotswold market town of Tetbury, this charming town house dates back to 1535 and boasts a restaurant with views of the walled garden and fountain.

Charming hotel and staff, atmospheric bar and extremely comfortable beds. It was treat for my friends 60th birthday and she loved everything about the hotel. Beautiful gardens and easy parking too. Wonderful breakfast.
Could have done with breakfast finishing at say 9.45/10 , 9.30 meant we had to move swiftly after a night out!
Nestled within 12 acres of picturesque Wiltshire countryside, this hotel is a stylish venue where you can relax and revive.

Staff was very courteous. Our dog was made welcome. Altogether a very good stay.

Truly friendly staff, made us feel very welcome. Whole hotel imaginatively decorated - a combination of tasteful quirkyness. Food was beautifully presented and delicious, but portions could have been larger and the menu choice could do with some expansion to incorporate more vegetarian and vegan options. That said, the kitchen was obliging.

Breakfast was excellent, very good quality ingredients. Good coffee and juice. The request I made before we got there were answered clearly and accurately and the hostess was there to greet us as we arrived. Such a lovely lady and a wonderful little find. I hope very much to return,

There was at least 2 pubs in walking distance to eat and the potting shed served excellent food. Plenty of field walks to explore. Supermarket was just 10 mins drive with other ones only a little further. Was a perfect base for discovering the Cotswolds.

Crudwell is a pretty village in the cotswolds, it is quite small with not a lot there other than a few pubs/hotels and a post office.
Not far up the road is Malmesbury, a bigger town and there are some supermarkets only a few minutes up the road.
It's well placed as a base to explore the Cotswolds

Crudwell is good for public footpaths, bridleways and country lanes. We enjoyed a simple meal at the Tavern Inn at Kemble. We preferred the Eastern Section of the Cotswold Water Park to the Western Section, especially along the Thames from Lechlade to Buscot. Buscot is a beautiful spot, with a river lock, and the National Trust car park at Buscot Weir is popular with families for swimming in the shallow water. On our next visit to the area we might stay in Buscot and explore the Thames path in the direction of Oxford.

I had a problem with my shower, and I had to wait for a table at breakfast, but I would still recommend the Hotel, as I think the staff were good, the breakfast lovely, a good location and a very good night's sleep, after a wedding !

I loved everything about my stay, from the homely touches in my room to the wonderful lake view from my bedroom window. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming which was just what I needed after a long drive. The gardens are very well tended and I enjoyed walking around the flowers feeling inspired to add them to my own small garden at home. Early mornings were a delight due to the forever changing wildlife in and around the lake.
The communication and welcome from Chuck was friendly. Fresh eggs, bread, milk etc. left for us on arrival was appreciated. Cottage was clean, cosy and laid out perfectly, even the table set. We had use of bikes. Grounds are exceptional and helped us to enjoy a relaxing stay! Had privacy but near enough to main house, should we have needed anything. Lovely to be near fields, which we enjoyed walking around to get to Crudwell.
Definitely want to stay again !
We visited The Pettifers Hotel on bank holiday with our 5 month old puppy! And we have such a fantastic stay. We could not recommend the hotel, the staff, the food, the facilities any more. We are so keen to go back.
The staff was so welcoming and nothing was ever too much for them. As a dog owner it was just so wonderful to see how accommodating they were. Please don’t hesitate to book this lovely hotel you will only not be let down.
The staff at the Pettifers Freehouse Hotel were all warm, welcoming and made us feel instantly at home. They answered any questions we had and would regular chat to us, asking how our trip was going. The hotel decor and feel was lovely, it was the perfect country hotel. We booked a last minute trip to get away in the countryside and we couldn't have gotten better with this hotel. It was cosy and stylish, our room was very comfortable.
The breakfast was excellent. It is cooked to order so do come expecting a small delay before it is served - when it does come you will not be disappointed. Anywhere that serves proper field mushrooms is always high on my list! This is a family run hotel and we were impressed by our hostess who went out of her way to please. The rooms are large and airy and quiet despite the nearby road.
Friendly staff in hotel, bar and dining room. Nico, the bartender was most hospitable and entertaining. The chef took great care to ensure that my (serious) food allergy was respected.
Breakfast was excellent with superb choice.
Choice, quality and price of evening meal was very good.
Throughout the hotel, every member of staff iwas friendly, efficient and helpful.
the property is a delight, the hosts were lovely. We had fresh eggs and marmalade on arrival. The location was great for seeing sights, walks in the Cotswolds. Can't fault it. lovely.
Beautiful property set in lovely gardens.
Chuck (the owner) was really helpful and made us very welcome.
Great location for visiting Crudwell (a nice walk across the fields).
host is very caring and prompt acion about my enquiries, the cottage has a king side bed large enough for us to sleep. Crudwell is good exploration in cotswolds
Room was a good size, bed was comfy. Can't say a bad word regarding the hotel room. All of the young waitresses there who must be new were very friendly.
