Darlington is a vibrant northern town with a big future. You only have to look at the developments at the train station, and the fact part of the treasury is relocating there. A bigger brighter future for darlo awaits.

It was beautiful with lots of interesting history & it's got beautiful grounds which would be beautiful in the summer so can't wait to plan another trip to The George in the summer time. The room was very clean & had everything we needed. The only negative I have is we had to ask about information about meals etc but the staff were more than helpful

Quiet town with plenty of shopping and restaurants. Local recreation and sightseeing, major train depot. I had good weather while I was there, nearly everything you need is within walking distance of most hotels.

The staff at 119 are just lovely, so friendly and helpful.

The staff at 119 are just lovely, so friendly and helpful. The boss is prepared to do anything to make your stay as comfortable as possible, he really is a top man! The facilities are faultless, everywhere is clean and tidy. The kitchen has tea and coffee facilities, and can be used whenever needed, (obviously taking other guests into consideration) My partner and I have stayed here twice now and would not stay anywhere else, we have found somewhere that's comfortable friendly professional and above all else brilliant value for money. We are back in January!

Interesting places to visit. Steeped in history. Walking . Abundance of places to explore . Great for Autumn walks, lazy village inns with eclectic beers. Interesting points ;- Lewis Caroll ( Alice in wonderland; through the looking glass). Not to far from James Herriot country. Filming of Numerous television programmes including Happy valley near by.

I've stayed here several times it worked out cheaper than the nearest Premier Inn so it was no contest Its a lovely hotel just outside of Darlington. Staff at check in check out very friendly and helpful The standard rooms have everything you need and the whole place is clean and tidy. You can upgrade to go into the old Castle rooms which are bigger than the wing. The parking is free and there is plenty of it. Breakfast is cooked as you like it and there is a good selection of Continental choices too.

I stayed here on a recent trip to Darlington and I must say that the staff were all lovely and the hotel is in a great location and the room I had was really nice with a separate Lounge area from the bedroom. It was a little warm on my visit but the room has a fan and its a quiet location so I had the windows open with no disturbance. Breakfast was included in my room rate and well this was a real treat, freshly cooked and plenty of it ....I will definitely stay here again on my return to the North.

The front of the hotel is a beautiful old building. The breakfast buffet and restaurant were both good. Plenty of parking although utilising a lovely walled garden seems a shame. Although weddings were in progress on both days there, there was no noise from these events. Nice walk in to the centre of Darlington, although there is a regular bus service.

The single room with private bathroom is nice, well furnished and has a comfy bed. The shower in the bathroom is amazing. Jamie is a kind host, makes your stay even nicer. It's a great place for people who don't want a luxury stay. Very good value for money in Darlington. The hotel has a very clean kitchen to be used by guests (and free milk as well!!).

We have stayed there in the past and it is always good. This time through no fault of the hotel there was a power cut. No electricity from 4.30pm to 9.30pm. We would have eaten in the hotel but went elsewhere had to drive to Darlington. There was no recompense not even a free drink. A bit disappointing.

Room, location, Nora from the shop Fish and chips who actually helped me to get inside the hotel. The kitchen was helpful, there is everything you need for a quick breakfast. Microwave, frudge and kettle work well. The fridge is very small, but it was fairly clean
