Didcot Railway Centre is a must-visit when in the town. A great way to experience Didcot's railway heritage in historic buildings and artefacts from the Great Western Railway. Visit during a Steam Day to experience a ride behind a preserved steam locomotive in vintage carriages!

Good location, right price but needs more attention to details. No outside light, shower floor slippy, no chopping board or bread knife. No operating manual for microwave. Batteries dead in clock and dying in tv remote and smoke alarm.

I ended up with a booking i didn't need, not just for 1 room but 2 - not quite sure how that happened however i noticed it 6 days before my arrival and alerted booking.com who spoke to the hotel. The hotel flatly refused to let me cancel either room. Even after I agreed to compromise by paying for 1 room they wouldn't refund the other. Ended up seriously out of pocket and won't be staying there again.

Location easy to find, quiet, and excellent parking by property. Host came out to greet us. Detailed folder of information. Good location for Didcot Parkway where we were catching the Flying Scotsman. Also easy to walk up to the centre. Scampi and chips at the Railway Hotel was good. Very clean, warm and well equipped accommodation just right for 2-night stay. Comfortable sofa and good sized TV.
