I'm absolutely disgusted by the service of this...
I'm absolutely disgusted by the service of this accommodation. They took money out of my account twice after a mistake. I quickly contacted them and they agreed to issue the refund. It has been over 2 months now, and 4 phone calls later after being told it would be sorted, it still isn't sorted. I stayed at this accommodation for my daughter for an exam she had, and this added stress of being told something but not having it actually done was the last thing we both needed.
I have spoken to different people at the racecourse and everytime I've been promised a follow-up and for the situation to be solved, but this has not been the case.
I do NOT recommend this accommodation at all, purely due to the lack of respect they have for their customers. Leaving customers in the dark and misleading them every time is not how a business should operate, and I have had no choice but to resorting to writing this review.
FANTASTIC TWO NIGHT STAY, FRIENDLY STAFF AT CHECK IN, MASSIVE CLEAN WARM ROOM NO ROAD NOISE EVEN THOUGH ROAD FRONT ROOM. BED REALLY COMFY ROOM EXCEPTIONALY CLEAN BRILLIANT SHOWER, BREAKFAST CAVARY JUST DELIGHTFUL AND TASTY AND AS MUCH AS YOU CAN EAT, DINNER CARVARY GREAT CHOICE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN EAT AND VERY CHEAP AT £5.99 JUST AMAZING. I WAS THERE ON BUSINESS AND HAD MY FATHER WITH ME HOWEVER I FELT SAFE ENOUGH AS A SINGLE LADY TO STAY IN THIS HOTEL, GREAT PARKING TOO.
Nice informative staff.Early check in request was obliged.Lovely clean and comfortable bedroom.Hotel beautifully decorated throughout.Classy Art Deco restaurant and hotel.Breakfast was very good with ample choice of cereals etc and choice of hot food which was well cooked and tasty.Towels and bedding were of excellent quality. A tea/coffee making tray was very welcome with branded goods.
Lovely quiet location off the main roads. Our room was clean and comfortable. Our host was SO great! We got in late and he escorted us across to the restaurant that’s affiliated with the hotel. They were closing up for the evening, but he put in a word for us so that we could get something to eat. He went out of his way to help us and it was SO appreciated!
We were travelling from Scotland for a wedding in Doncaster. We pre-arranged with the hotel to have kilt outfits delivered in advance of our arrival. All went smoothly. The location was fab and the weather was an absolute bonus - summer in September! , sitting outdoors! Reasonable price too! Very good choice for breakfast.
Location was great, 10 min walk to city centre.
Hotel itself is lovely, I paid I think £63/£68 for a Saturday night, I did t think the price was bad at all!! And especially for the hotel!! It’s lovely. Room was a good size, nice shower, good facilities in the room (hair dryer, kettle, tv, a telephone!!)
Here is the only hotel I will stay after my long drive from North East Scotland to Doncaster to pick my son up. From my first experience and all others since, the staff, service, facilities and breakfast have always been excellent. All Staff at all levels are a credit to the hotel.
The room was verry clean and the bed was comfortable. That comfortable that I went for a lie down for ten minutes at 17:00 and didn't wake up until 20:18. The staff were helpful answering any questions that I had as well. I would return to this hotel if I visit Doncaster again.
A beautiful hotel with Art Deco interior design. Situated 5 minutes from the town centre and 15 minutes stroll to the racecourse. There are ample car parking spaces. The restaurant is superb. The room was spotless. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Pleasant stay generally. Staying on a Wednesday in November so streets outside were quiet but I'm guessing would be pretty noisy at the weekend. Only to be expected for a city centre hotel. Good location for theatre i was going to.
The Campanile Hotel Doncaster was situated at the end of a short drive and appreared to be quite secluded despite being near the centre of Doncaster. So ideal for parking my motorcycle. The room was basic but clean & tidy.
Clean and comfortable room in a modern hotel right next to the zoo. Breakfast was very good and all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We will likely stay again when we next visit Doncaster.
It was a late booking and was a very welcoming atmosphere,we didn’t stay for breakfast has we didn’t have the time but I’m sure it would have been lovely, and if in Doncaster again we’ll be staying there 👍
Amazing hotel and room. We had a family room with balcony and the bed was comfortable with great shower facilities. Breakfast was not bad but the food from the menu was expensive with very small portions.
There is no parking at the hotel.. But I parked in secure multi-storey parking in the Civic Centre that was only about 5 to 10 minute walk. And was very good price.
Very nice hotel in Doncaster, the room was big and the bed comfortable.
The Wetherspoon restaurant is just down the hotel so it's really convenient and cheap.
