Everything. Location, friendliness, cleanliness and food. The attention to detail was incredible. I had the best sleep ever. Beach on the door step. Cocktails and shortbread waiting in the room and rocking chairs on the veranda . Every member of staff were happy to help and offer advice about the area. A real hidden gem.

Dornoch is such a wonderful town.
Dornoch is such a wonderful town. I was amazed by the architecture from various periods but the Georgian and Edwardian stood out and looked stunning in red sandstone! The castle hotel bar is a must see, also the cathedral where Madonna got married to Guy Ritchie and also Elon Musk got married there too! The beech walks and also the Golf course, rated as the number 1 golf course in Scotland (I spoke to golfers at this festival who gave me their honest opinions) with a links style supposedly better than St Andrews! Although I was there for the local whisky festival, the people were so pleasant and made you feel so welcome and the hotel/ pubs were outstanding with the accompanying food menu's were superb.

Pretty town with a lovely long sandy beach.
Pretty town with a lovely long sandy beach. The Museum and Heritage Trail are very interesting and well worth the time. The cathedral is worth a visit and there are some interesting shops to explore. And we noticed an electric car charging point! We only stayed one night but it would have been better to have stayed for two as we didn't have enough time to visit all the attractions.

I am not a golfer but for golfers it is a paradise.
Unfortunately, on this occasion time pressures precluded a longer stay but it is a destination which I know quite well and would have no hesitation in recommending a visit to visitors to the area.
Dee and Nigel were very warm, welcoming, and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and modern. Breakfast was delicious and customer service exceptional. We would definitely stay there again, and recommend to our friends. The outdoor country atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. So nice to have a gathering room and breakfast area where our three couples could gather together in the evening and mornings, to plan out the day and brag about our golf experience.
Everything... the property was in excellent condition with everything you could want. The situation was perfect with just a 5 mins walk to centre of Dornoch. The views were lovely and it was very peaceful. The host (Chris) was very helpful and friendly. We loved it there and couldnt fault it at all. Would definitely return and highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Dornoch.
The location is superb for what we wanted it for...the golf course! Less than five minutes walking and you're on the course. The cottage is lovely, in a quiet area with easy access to everything you'd need. Around a ten minute walk into Dornoch. The kitchen was amazingly well stocked with everything you need to cook for yourself.
the rooms were spacious, very clean with comfy beds. the location was fantastic to get to the golf club and the town. the owners were both lovely, very welcoming and cooked a nice breakfast for us each day. we really enjoyed our stay and if we are ever staying in dornoch again we will definitely stay here again.
Very well organised, easy to book, warm welcome.
Chalet decorated with obvious thought and and care, to a high standard of comfort and quality.
Comfortable beds and really excellent shower.
Spotlessly clean.
Well located for A9 and Dornoch.
This is a fabulous hotel - we loved everything - the friendly professional staff, the beautiful interiors of the hotel and our rooms, the location right next to the Royal Dornoch Golf club and the sea. Breakfast was amazing too! Faultless.
This was an amazing B&B with every possible home comfort. Dee & Nigel were excellent hosts and their house is just fantastic. Beautiful views over the Dornoch Firth. Really looking forward to a return visit later in the year.
Easy check in. Responsive host when we couldn't find kettle - bizarrely it was in dishwasher! Amazing beaches, golf courses, golf range, good pubs and shops one mile away in Dornoch , stunning sunrise behind caravan.
Dornoch is a little remote but has a fabulous beach for walking.
The breakfast fayre is excellent and the breakfast tea is fantastic.
This hotel is ideal for golfers and the golf course is highly rated worldwide
Lovely style hotel - classic Scottish with a trendy twist. The staff are great. The breakfast choice wide and delicious. I had a great stay - really comfortable, gorgeous room, as were the communal areas.
Lovely owners and very, very accommodating. Room was large and well equipped. they gave us an excellent recommendation for a pub for dinner. One of our top three dinners in Scotland so far!
