Fantastic location to explore North West Scotland. Hotel and staff are extremely welcoming. Rooms were extremely comfortable (great beds!). Food was excellent and chef was flexible to accommodate needs. Best stay we have had in a hotel in years.

The accommodation included a well-equipped kitchen. This is self-catering accommodation which we were aware of at the time of booking. Our host Paul met us on arrival and was very helpful. We appreciated the availability of a washing machine which was helpful after being on the road for about a week.

Fantastic location, with excellent walks nearby. It was a 30 min trip to any restaurant (the local hotel was only serving residents - Covid) but we had been warned and the drive was lovely in either direction. We ate at the Kylesku Hotel and Peets restaurant in Lochinver, both excellent.

Drumbeg itself is just a few houses and a hotel and a store. This break was all about driving around the north of Scotland and admiring the views. The roads are single track mostly until you get onto the main drive north so care has to be taken with those. From Tor Druim where we stayed its 14 miles to the main road so the drive itself is an adventure! A drive to Durness is a must !! Stunning beaches and the Smoo cave makes it worthwhile. Thats apart from the scenery as you drive there. We ate in the Kylesku Hotel one night and in Ullapool the Frigate Cafe.

Drumbeg is a beautiful and quiet place but getting there involves travelling along some very poor roads. They are single track, extremely narrow and twisty. It takes much longer than you would be used to to travel a similar distance.

Drumbeg is way out in the wilds, a beautiful drive there, not for amateur drivers. Narrow winding roads through magnificent scenery. Be aware there probably will be sheep and highland cattle on the roads as well as Deer. If you stay at the Drumbeg hotel, e prepared for possible cold nights or very hot nights. NO AC. In rooms , and very chilly in the rest of the hotel. Probably looking at no more than -1 star small hotel.

The position of this hotel is magical, the whole place had a welcoming atmosphere. The Proprietor and his wife were great and good fun in the bar in the evening. Our rooms were small but very well set out and with all the necessary equipment. The food was really delicious and everyone was happy and friendly.
