A really beautiful place with a very cozy atmosphere and a lovely host. We stayed there just one Night on the way London to Cornwall.

Wonderful place with very friendly staff. Julie and Zara were extremely helpful and offered to help in anyway. A warm welcome from the moment we walked in.
The room was an upgrade and had a lovely view of the lake.

A very beautiful place but we had gone with the intention of walking but unfortunately there wasn’t really any walks we could do from the site.
We expected to be able to do king signposted walks from the site across fields etc but the only one we was told about would mean walking along a lot of no pavement roads

This hotel is NOT for DISABLED!
This hotel is NOT for DISABLED!
This hotel is not for fine dining.
Room was always warm and well-appointed for able bodied folk.
This site is for pet lovers, able bodied. I was disabled so required to be driven from the room to and from the restaurant, as I said this is no place for the ambulatory challenged as much of the site is heavily large gravelled paths making it impossible to use my wheelchair. The fact that we were roomed up a graveled hill of steep incline, another reason we felt imprisoned when in our room.
As a note for all disabled people booking new hotels use booking agents AFTER you have spoken directly with site management.

Close to south coast if you don’t mid a 30 min car journey.
Close to south coast if you don’t mid a 30 min car journey. We went to Lyme Regis for the day which was cracking. We ate at a place called the waters edge cafe in Lyme which was spot on not cheap but you get what you pay for brilliant experience friendly staff and food was amazing it’s a tiny little place down a back street you wouldn’t even know was there. Seaton was nice for a walk as well early evening. Lots of shops near by and fuel stations. It is easy to get around dunkeswell as long as your not in a rush rural setting area of natural beauty.

There is gliding and parachuting in the local area and the hotel grounds are spectacular. For us it was just a base to break our journey enroute to a family funeral and it was within 30mins to the coast which made our stay at the Manor very pleasant.

There was a museum at the Aerodrome but we didn't get a chance to visit, this was recommended by others. The country side is very pleasant and we weren't disturbed by the aircraft. Quite central for looking around the area and didn't have any problems finding places to eat and see.
The hotel was lovely, very pretty and lovely grounds. Our room was amazing (We had a suite) although disappointed we had a sofa bed at over £450.00 for the room, but luckily it was comfortable. Staff were all amazing, although very unprofessional of the manager who was overhead by our party using bad language when advised we had to cancel our lunch reservation on the last day - needless to say she was not happy with us, but non the less very unprofessional. But the rest of the staff were AMAZING.
Food was excellent and good value. We enjoyed the naturalistic setting. The hotels best asset were the staff, who were friendly and accommodating. We regularly went searching for Gary the goose and loved the baby moorhens.Whilst we did not realise that the primary function was as a fishing spot when we booked, there was a varied number of activities nearby,as the hotel benefits from a location on the Devon /Somerset border.
Breakfast choice was limited but what they had was nice. Although dairy free alternatives were not displayed when we asked they had some and happily provide us with Soya.
The suite was perfect for our family. We always struggle to find somewhere suitable for a family with 3 young children this hotel provided this.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the premises were extremely clean and tidy and the food was good too! We enjoyed watching Gary the resident goose who supervised the goings on in and around the hotel. Its n a lovely location, very quiet and not too far from the A30.
Brilliant accommodation and venue. Beautiful surroundings, restaurant fab and such a good breakfast. Staff wonderful and hotel rooms really good, comfortable and clean. A great staycation
Everything! The setting is idyllic, the grounds and hotel are immaculate. The people, staff and Gary the Goose are so welcoming and friendly. A really special place to stay!
