Beautifully clean and fresh. Very comfortable and had a really good night’s sleep in the huge lovely bed.
Although on the High St it was very quiet and perfectly located for exploring Dunster. Owner very friendly and helpful.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Single bed very comfortable with a firm mattress. Staff very welcoming to our dogs, and you only charged a basic fee for them which was good. Hotel in a good position for walking dogs to beach, and also close to the shops.

This is a unique hotel with a very warm welcome from Keith and Sharon. The rooms are spacious and the decor is in keeping with the beautiful property. The breakfast cooked by Keith is tasty and superb. The location in the centre of Watchet is perfect for getting to all that is available in this lovely seaside village. The public car park at the rear of the property could not be handier. We enjoyed a lovely relaxing break here and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone

I could quite happily have spent 2 days just in Dunster then...
I could quite happily have spent 2 days just in Dunster then used it as a base for the wider area - the beaches and even Cheddar gorge. We ate dinner at the Luttrell Arms which was nice but Reeves looked good too. We had coffee and cake at Tessa's Tea rooms and bought stuff in the independent shops. Iys a very old village with more grade 2 listed buildings than anywhere else in England. The Castle and grounds are always good to visit. We had a good choice of walks in the surrounding countryside. There are a few good places to eat including a very good Aisian restaurant. It's very easy to get around the village.

Dunster is on the edge of Exmoor National Park, which imho is the most underrated national park in the UK. The views are magnificent, with small cozy towns, beautiful nature, good roads for walking, cycling and mountain biking. The small town has a lot to offer - lovely walks around the castle, good restaurants to choose from, interesting shops and a superb art gallery with a labrynth of beautiful works of art. A must has to be the West Somerset railway which you can catch the steam train from Dunster station - Dunster Beach is close by where can walk to Blue Anchor along the stunning coastal path. Hathaway Restaurant is quirky but great food. Yarn Market Hotel offers a good menu in homely surroundings.

The location is convenient to everything, and the car park behind was a pleasant surprise! The rooms were stylish and super comfortable (a glass of sherry before bed was delightful), and breakfast was delicious. Our son was with us and had an interview over Zoom and the wi-fi worked perfectly. We could not have been happier with the hotel and the owners—just so accommodating. Room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was the best we've had on our trip, not to mention presentation was like a 5 star restaurant. They currently do dinner only 2 nights and wish our stay included one of them. If you're visiting Dunster Castle, you can walk instead of paying £5.50 to park in official lot.
