The balcony was really dirty and covered in bird poo that hadn't been cleaned as it was had so been there a while

Heating had been left on for our arrival so lovely warm lodge. A lot of effort had been made to light up the grounds for Christmas and with the peacocks wandering around and the hooting of an owl even the weather couldn’t dampen our walk around the grounds too much. We ate in the hotel restaurant on our first night, food good and friendly helpful staff. The lodge itself feels very new and there is lots of equipment in the kitchen.
