Good breakfast, welcoming/professional staff and a fascinating building. Great location. Free parking, which is rare for any seafront hotel but especially in Eastbourne and the surrounding areas. Room basic but clean, comfortable and everything worked. Entertainment expected standard for price but maybe the bingo should happen first, not in the middle.

Eastbourne has practically everything you could want from an English seaside resort, plenty of shops and plenty of eateries, lovely beaches, magnificent promenades, good town bus services, good rail links to London, meanwhile also surrounded by green Sussex countryside, the South Downs etc.

Eastbourne is a friendly seaside town with a quirky array of conventional shops, charity shops and restaurants for all budgets and tastes. The streets are wide and generally clean. The only criticism is the parking. It is well populated and has a fair amount of visitors so finding a space on the street can be difficult. I stuck with the central NCP which saved time and a headache!

Nice, clean well maintained public areas.
Nice, clean well maintained public areas. Could do with more toilets. Good restaurants and bars, and a nice, if pebbly beach which was clean. Excellent long promenade, paved all the way with a fun looking pier facility.
Great village feel-like location in suburb of Eastbourne with 10 minutes easy car access to town centre and seafront. Excellent for nearby surrounding countryside walking and centrally good for exploration of sights and towns further afield across south downs. Nice cosy cottage base to come back to with two pubs and restaurant close by. Excellent cottage TV services for evenings in. Log burner a plus for comfort. Kitchen facilities very good. Nice clean modern bathroom.
Lovely hotel, friendly staff very helpful, breakfast buffet had loads of choice and kept hot +good selection of teas and coffee was good.room was spacious with all the amenities you need.i would definitely stay at the shore view when next in Eastbourne+ it is a short walk from the station through the town center. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel for a lovely stay.
Room is really clean and comfortable. We got rear facing bedrooms as we got a cheap last minute deal, but hotel staff were really helpful and room was perfect for what we needed. They also let us keep our luggage for a few hours after checkout while we were exploring Eastbourne the same day. Will definitely be coming back if I'm ever in the area.
A wonderful guest house just 50 yards from the seafront. Excellent value for money including a good breakfast. Would recommend the Leopold room (top floor, 4 sets of stairs to go up) king superior room, nice, spacious and very clean. It's not a 4/5 star hotel, but a great value for money base for a few nights in Eastbourne. Super friendly staff.
Nice quiet location in a residential road with plenty of driveway parking. 3 minute walk to a nice quiet beach , 10 minute walk to local food shops and a 20/25 minute walk along the seafront to Eastbourne Pier and town centre bars , eateries etc.
Apartment spotlessly clean with modern decor. Everything you needed for your stay .
Lovely hotel and in the best seafront location in Eastbourne looking towards the Pier.
Hotel is clean and the food was good - overall excellent value for money - in its heyday the hotel must have been quite something- perhaps those days are long gone but the echoes of grandeur still make this a nice place for a holiday!
This was my second stay here. it is a very well modernised hotel in an excellent location. This time I had a seaview room and was pleasantly surprised by how good the noise insulation is (seaview rooms in Eastbourne overlook the seafront road). There was a good choice at breakfast and it was well served.
The View is a modern hotel at the seafront. It has all the amenities that you would expect to find in a hotel of this category and more. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent and - for a change - was served in spacious dining area.
I found the hotel easy to find, it's right on the sea front and I had a sea view.
The room was very comfortable with private bathroom and double bed and a television, staff were helpful and friendly.
The only thing I found a problem was I only had one night there.
The location is perfect! Rooms are clean. Staffs are kind and friendly. Breakfast is good. It was one of the best places we stayed so far. We did not stay in a room with sea view, but you can definitely consider a room with view. The view of hotel is remarkable!
Wi Fi is free and a good signal-Some more expensive Hotels in the area have rubbish Wi Fi.
Regents Wi Fi had a good strong signal
Good Mattress
Very close to the beach.
Late night Tesco's and Coffee shops near by.
Decent Price
The hotel is located on the seafront of Eastbourne with easy access to pubs/entertainment. We stayed there for Beachy Head Ultra, where the start line was within walking distance from the hotel. The hotel also has a breakfast buffet.
Excellent hotel on Eastbourne seafront marvellous views and central location, car parking permit was a real bonus £ 2 for a 24 hr stay, had a large town facing room with great aircon, another plus is the excellent breakfast.
Excellent breakfast however sausages were of poor taste, staff were very hard working and friendly hotel looked tired in places situated on right on the seafront there is parking at rear I would say it value for money.
It was reasonable- but to be fair it was a very slow week for the hotel so breakfast was cooked to order rather than hot buffet selection and there is no evening dining - but there is a limited room service menu
Staff all very helpful and friendly, lovely comfortable room, high quality cooked breakfast.
Location - is situated ideally between seafront and town.
By far the best accommodation I have used in Eastbourne.
This is a lovely two-bedroom apartment with a subtle view over the Eastbourne seafront.
Comfortable beds, two bathrooms, first floor but no stairs to climb, your own parking spot - what more could you want.
Lovely apartment, spacious and tastefully decorated. The location is great, in a quiet area of Eastbourne but close to the seafront, local shops and two nice pubs.
