We stayed for a couple of nights in the annexe, which had a lovely view of the pool and car parking right outside the room. The building was a bit tired but the room was nice and had everything needed (although the carpet could do with being replaced).
Loved the Pool and breakfast was great as well.
Staff were all nice. Location was great.
Where modern heritage meets a warm Derbyshire welcome. Oakhill is a beautiful Grade 2 Listed (Georgian style) house built by the Arkwright family in the mid 19th century, as a private family dwelling....

The rooms were very clean and bed comfortable. English breakfast was freshly served from kitchen & continental breakfast was self service. We had a very nice evening meal and the proximity of the hotel was ideal for next day visit to Chatsworth House. Location of hotel was rural with plenty of parking. Would highly recommend.

Perfect base for exploring the Peak District. Close to Chatsworth and beautiful views across the hills. Good starting point for various lovely walks. Very quiet village but possible to walk to one or two pubs (within 2-3 miles). Locals seemed very friendly.

Elton is a lovely village, surrounded by beautiful countryside, there are several walks from the village & the locals are very friendly.
There is no shop in Elton but there is one in Winster, the pub in Elton only opens at 20.30hrs, but again there are others close by in surrounding villages.

Quiet village with a lot of old buildings.
Quiet village with a lot of old buildings. Being on the top of a hill it was quite windy but very fresh clean air, some nice local eggs and honey for sale outside a couple of houses. Great if you like walks and a peaceful break

It's a great base for exploring the Peak District.
It's a great base for exploring the Peak District. I was there for 2 nights (just after the 2019 floods) and managed to pack in lots.
The Lumsdale Valley walk and waterfalls are very close and a must.
