Breakfast very good, in fact all food very good. quiet and tranquil location with easy access to A roads in the area.
Good service from friendly staff. Room very comfortable and quiet, bed superbly comfortable, tea and coffee with biscuits in room. The bar area full of character with woodburner and excellent menu, comprising of basic to full evening speciailties. really could not have wished for more.

Lovely well equipped room, spacious with open aspect to front. Very quiet too. It has great location for exploring by car or on foot. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Very good food, both breakfast and dinner excellent.

Lovely double aspect room which was quiet despite being above restaurant/bar area and road immediately adjacent. Shower was absolutely superb.
Breakfast did the job but I have to say that our meal the evening before (where we were joined by a large family group) was absolutely exceptional !

The staff especially at breakfast was excellent although he seemed to be overworked and desperately needed some assistance. The information on booking .Com stated there was a refrigerator in the room but there wasn’t and when we asked at check in we were told our room doesn’t have one although when I booked it said it did the hotel did nothing to try and rectify this the problem arising was it was a particular hot few days.JohnUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

I have known, and loved, Exford for more than 70 years. Hearing the clippers-clop of horses' hooves and seeing the Exmoor Stores reopened and flourishing was splendid. Church Hill still seems strep to walk up...RichardFrance - 10Scored 10
Did not have time to look around Exford as we only booked...
Did not have time to look around Exford as we only booked for one night. We were booked onto a special stargazing event, which was excellent. However the drive over the moor from Lynton was stunning. Exford is situated in an excellent part of the moor for exploring and Exford appeared to be a lovely village to walk around, with two pubs and village shops. Horse riding available too. Would reconmmend Exford for a place to stay for either a long weekend or for a week.

The cottage had a small enclosed garden was ideal for our little terrier. The bedroom was lovely, comfy bed with enclosed dressing area. The shower was hot. Lounge area comfortable. The kitchen was great, we cooked breakfast and ate out each evening at some good pubs within a few miles and also walkable to Exford. We enjoyed Dunster, Minehead, Porlock, Porlock Hill & Tar Steps. The historical estate, which is renovated with a lot of love for details, is telling stories. The big and comfy rooms and the blooming garden and the terrace, overlooking it, are fantasic. Breakfast tasted like in a star kitchen. Parking is easy. A short walk away along the Exe-river is the Crown Hotel Exmoor, which is a terrific and cosy place for the evening with excellent food and nice people!
