Falmouth is a hilly town but has lots to offer for all age groups if you can walk up hills. The town is like most other towns with many empty shops sadly but there are still lots of shops and independent shops. The art gallery was a bit disappointing although the building it was in is beautiful. The Museum is good value for money and you can return any time within the year once you have paid entrance fee. Falmouth is very close to lots of other nice places in Cornwall. You can easily walk from the train station into town. I ate at Verdant Tapas bar and another Tapas bar outside of town, you cannot pre book at Verdants. The town is a bit tatty in places but it adds to its character! Lots of places to eat to cater for all peoples tastes!

The "Sabzi" cafe is great for vegan persian themed food, daily changing menu, a sample box is enough food for two people two meals. The Charity shops have more men's wear than most: Jackets, Shoes.

I love having a variety of safe sandy swimming beaches with calm waters ideal for paddleboarding, kayak exploration. Great range of places to eat, lots of options for vegans. Always some type of live music on somewhere. Good vibe to the town. Ideal location to explore the surrounding area by foot. A must visit is the Wilder Kitchen, such a gem serving delicious Thali. Also Castle beach cafe for takeaway breakfast or lunch and Ciuri Ciuri for the best italian Gelato (always great vegan choices too)

Walking through the town was wonderful.
Little surprising alleyways to explore.
The pier is great to sit and have a coffee or ice-cream.
Take a boat ride across to St Mawes.
Outstanding location by the sea and a very short convenient walk into the town center. There was ample parking. The garden seating area was a favorite spot to have a drink, enjoy the sun and watch the ocean. This is a heritage building that has retained its 19th century charm. But, has updated to make it competitive with newer major chain hotels. The pool is large and the spa and fitness facilities are more than adequate. Staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely worth considering for a stay in Falmouth.
I've stayed here before so the fact that I came back tells you everything. The rooms are comfy and very clean and even a little chic in some respects. The staff are all really friendly and helpful and the breakfasts are excellent. Location is perfect, at the quiet end of town but still only a few minutes walk from the main drag. Also, if you're really lucky you get greeted by Teddy the hotel poodle upon arrival.
Lovely little hotel in Falmouth, right on one of the main beaches (although about a 15-20 minute walk into town centre). Clean and comfortable rooms and comfy king size bed with very nine linens and pillows. great daily breakfast. Nice touch having cold water, milk, biscuits and tea/coffee supplies in the lobby which guests could access at any time.
Spacious and comfortable rooms and communal areas with an interesting eclectic collection of art and furnishings. We really enjoyed the wealth of interesting historical photographs with explanations relating to Falmouth and the hotel itself displayed throughout the hotel. The gardens are beautiful and our room had a stunning view of Falmouth Bay.
The location was excellent, overlooking a lovely bay. It was a really nice walk along the pavement either way, and the beach was only a few minutes away. Also a pretty easy 20 minute walk to Falmouth centre. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were helpful. Loved the extra terraced area to sit outside and admire the bay view.
The breakfast was fantastic, the spa and massage treatment was the best I have ever had. The food was very tasty in the Brasserie on the Bay would recommend this to freinds. The hotel was very close to the beach with lovely views. The large hydrothermal pool was great and the steam/Sauna rooms both inside and out was lovely.
The hotel is just a short walk from the beach, I could actually see the sea from my bed! Staff were incredibly friendly and well organised, and the hotel was clean and welcoming - I would have loved to stay longer! They made me feel very comfortable and I can only recommend it!
We had an amazing time in Falmouth. The hotel is located in the docs surrounded by a lot of hip bars and shops. The staff was very friendly and professional, our dinner and breakfast was absolutely magnificent with a great few at the harbour and the sea. Phenomenal!

Wonderful traditional high ceilings could open windows. Geoff extremely well organised man. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in in the last 50 years.
I recommend going to Falmouth, just to experience the The Grove.
The hotel property was beautiful with a stunning location next to the river and just a few minutes walk from Falmouth town centre. The staff were very professional and attentive. Breakfast was excellent.
Location - within walking distance from train station - and the Main Street of Falmouth!
Large, very clean and spacious room - with the very best bathroom, with wonderful bathtub, plus shower!!
A very warm welcome. All staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel was spotless and very well maintained. Breakfast was excellent with a good vegetarian option. Good location.
We had a beautiful room with a sea view. The staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfasts. The hotel is close to the sea and a short walk from the town centre.
Helpful staff, a good meal and good location. I have stayed in this hotel many times before. They also upgraded me from a single to a double as business was quieter.
Exceptionally well run and friendly boutique hotel. Made to feel very welcome. complimentary homemade cake offered each afternoon…good selection for breakfast
Very nicely presented hotel, with lovely, helpful staff. Very convenient for central Falmouth and easy to find. Bonus of a nice sea view from our room.
