The hotel was very atmospheric and full of historical photos and literature but had a modern eclectic twist and most of all the breakfast was amazing. We arrived late so couldn’t eat a big meal in the restaurant but we could see the steaks in the fridge in the restaurant at breakfast and they looked very mouth watering.

A random booking in an unknown part of Carmarthenshire, but a joy to discover...i wrote to friends - the Spot that Time Forgot. Ferryyside is a ribbon development area along the banks of the estuary...so glorious views - see from our room. Local shop is a Steptoe mix of treasures an essentials. Possible walks for all grades, chatty helpful locals and Carmarthen or Llanelli by train IF you need everyday life!!!
IF you venture to swim in the sea - beware to enormous jellyfish...many to be seen strewn along the shoreline after high tide!!!

This is a good base for exploring this part of the world, but don't expect fast roads, Excellent dog-walking available as the estuary beach is very close (not wheelchair accessible). Fast train service available into Carmarthen. During the pandemic restrictions, don't expect un-reserved pub lunches. We loved nearby Burry Port, a good daytime restaurant at tiny Pembrey Airport. Enjoy.

Ferryside is a lovely place, very oldy worldly with a lovely beach. It has a small train station and is a good location for visiting other parts of Wales. Ferryside itself only has one small shop, a pub and a cafe. A very interesting, gem of a place.

We liked the place the people the food the setting it was just a little tired in part ie bathroom ceiling and outside could do with a tidy. We had a great time exploring the area and we loved the castles especially Kidwelly. Most parking is reasonable price or even free. Went to museum of speed at Pendine but they are rebuilding should be ready 2020. But the sands are fantastic. We stayed 4 nights but could have gone on longer, if only.....

Only a short way from the A40/A77, but feels like another world! Peaceful place but still with a small village shop, community post office, bus service and train station. Lovely estuary setting looking across to the castle and village opposite. Several places to eat to suit most budgets too. Easy to walk around and the car park is free too! A great base for walking, with access to the coast path and lots of circular walks available with the use of a good OS map.

Ferry side is a lovely friendly place, The beach is lovely for dogs and kids alike ,
It Has a railway station which means that you can travel to the big towns near by with out having to worry about the traffic
We were doing the Wild Drovers Way, Carmarthenshire - and Ferryside was one of the last spots/villages on the route; so we were happy to book at this property. The bed was really comfy. Good ensuite. Quiet location. Close to railway and a small beach. Breakfast was continental style and left in the fridge in the room. It was fine. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
We had a brilliant evening meal at the Three Rivers Hotel which was a 15-20 minutes walk away (or 5 mins in the car).
The hotel is located in a lovely little spot by the sea with ample parking. The food was excellent with good portion sizes and at a reasonable priced. The staff were overall friendly and it appeared the young staff worked very hard. The female owner/manager was outstanding at breakfast and nothing was too much trouble, this was the same for the young male that worked along side her, both were brilliant, incredibly polite. We enjoyed the pool and sauna, very clean.
Everything was as good or better than hoped for. The staff were helpful and the breakfast and evening meals were great value for money. I would definitely recommend the hotel and stay here again if in the area
Lovely place in a great location. Clean fresh rooms, excellent spa, and restaurant has plenty of choice and cooked great. The Hotel bar is normal prices and decorated very authently with real character
Brilliant hotel with excellent facilities. Staff are very helpful and accomadating. Perfectly located and lots of parking. Swimming facilities were impressive. Would highly recommend
The lady at reception (sorry forgot your name) she couldnt of been more helpful. She even gave us a lift to local pub!. The hotel itself was perfect and breakfast was AMAZINGLY good
Hotel clean and comfortable, real family feel about the place, great dinner and breakfast. Room comfortable and very clean nice touches in the bathroom with toiletries etc.
