I went up for a job interview and fell in love with the views which were breathtaking. The people were polite and welcoming on the whole. The food was good when we had dinner or lunch outside the hotel.

Fort William as a town needs investment, depending on why you are there I suppose would change your opinion.
Ben nevis 10 mins away, beautiful loch on doorstep fishing , climbing walking, down hill cycling, ski ing, diving all plus points.
Night time especially week night useless.
Morar and Mallaig to the North beautiful and in summer amazing beach at Morar.
If you are there for hobby or sport great base camp, if you are a tourist and like entertainment at night during the week go somewhere else.

Fort William was as nice as usual however please note certain businesses are only open during tourist season. We also enjoyed filling up on the gondolas at Nevis Range. I must say though, try and avoid Caledonia hotel. The toilet was like what you get in a nursery and my private parts in the water. Carpet threadbare, wallpaper coming off the walls due to dampness, a very uncomfortable bed, adjoining door that we were not made aware of. Electricity was off on arrival and due to my dust allergies and at 3pm the room had not been cleaned, we left and checked in later. There was still dirt in the room and at the top of the bed, I caughed thru the night both nights. When it rained you could hear a loud drip from within the wall cavity. I'm not a confrontational person and didn't feel comfortable bringing the issues up with reception, so just be warned. The lift was out of order too. Beware room 220!!! Such shame being a brilliant location .

Fort William is a nice little town very well located.
Fort William is a nice little town very well located. It's ten minutes away from Ben Nevis and 45mn from Glencoe ski resort. Before that, you have all the Glencoe mountains to explore. There are still a lot to do during winter, even if snow sports are not an option due to lack of snow and/or high winds. You have the West Highland Museum, a brand new movie theatre, the Ben Nevis distillery, an indoor climbing centre, etc.

Fort William is beautiful and has lots of areas to check out within a short drive. A great place to stay and visit the Harry Potter sites (by car) plus the views are spectacular. We also enjoyed plenty of the bars and cafes and enjoyed a night at the local cinema too.

I was in Fort William for a special event but I have been many times before. It is easy to get around. There are lots of dog walking trails nearby. I like to go to Spean Bridge Woollen Mill. There is a nature reserve at nearby Glen Roy. We used it as a stop over travel to Mull. It is not far from Nevis Range Mountain Gondolas. There is plenty shopping within Fort William including retail parks.
I've stopped at the hotel before and it's a nice place to stay. It's handily placed in Fort William for the main street and other amenities. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was excellent! It was a good size and had a fantastically comfortable bed.
Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for a deep clean due to a positive covid case. Breakfast was a continental breakfast which was ample. It's great value and i'd definitely stop there again.
I don't think I've ever seen a place so clean and well maintained. You can tell the owners take pride in their home. I had everything I needed to be comfortable and had a sufficient amount of privacy even though some areas are shared. The WiFi was excellent. There are shops and restaurants within walking distance. I walked from Fort William (40 minutes), but there are busses that run back and forth fairly frequently.
Breakfast excellent. Room small but certainly adequate, and quiet. Location good -- scenic, and not a long walk to the High Street. Desk clerk Karen was a joy, especially after the horrid treatment we had in Oban at Glenburnie House. You have good reason to be proud of her. She represented Cruachan, Fort William and Scotland admirably. I do public travelogues on Scotland and I will recommend Cruachan.
The B&B was cozy and comfortable. The room was large and the shower was amazing. The bed was very comfy. They provided lots of shower accessories The room’s walls are a little thin so keep that in mind :). The breakfast was delicious with many options for continental and a choice of hot. We walked into Fort William and it only took us 25 minutes. A lovely little high street to explore.
The location in Fort Williams was excellent, near attractions, transportation, and a grocery store. Check in information was emailed, accurate, so no worries there. Overall, the one room was clean. No bed bugs or other unfriendlies. Given that other rooms sold for $250+ this room was half the price, so from a cost perspective, it was reasonable.
Ideal location and easy to find. The room was spacious, clean and had a very comfy, but firm bed (just how we like). Bathroom was compact, but ample ... great shower! We came to Fort William - to bring our son up to his new job location, so the hotel was an added wee break for us! (sorry we didn't eat in the hotel, as we ate out with our son)
The hotel was lovely. Our room was comfortable spacious and a pleasure to stay in. Breakfast was great and the owners were lovely people and very welcoming. Not too far to walk to the centre of Fort William and also a lovely walk beyond the hotel in the direction of Ben Nevis. Would definitely recommend staying here
- This hotel is fine for a short stay and a place to put your head down.
- Staff are very efficient and receptionist was very welcoming.
- Lots of space to park the car and 5 mins into Fort William.
- TV in the room, albeit very small.
- The room was warm.
- Beds were actually quite comfortable.
The accommodation, food and staff were excellent. I would gladly recommend this hotel to family and friends. If I return to Fort William for another overnight stay again I will look first to see if the Cruachan Hotel has any availability.
Great location, lovely welcome pack, Fort William 3 miles away, great for walks next to Neptune's staircase, handy for the Moorings Hotel if you want a drink, lovely views of Ben Nevis out of the window, what more can I say, excellent
The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close enough to Fort William town centre to not be an issue getting there yet far enough to get a calm atmosphere. The panoramic views of the loch were also fantastic!
Loved it. What’s not to like? Lovely attentive owner, who has a fabulous restaurant in Fort William. Brilliant Wi-Fi, excellent kitchen, off-road parking, warm, amazing location, comfortable bed, the list goes on
It was perfect for a weekend stay in Fort William the beds were very comfortable and it was very clean with a great location. I would highly recommend it and we would definitely book again.
