Quirky hotel with a great personality. Lovely staff. Our room was comfortable and clean. Ate dinner both nights of our stay and it was lovely - especially the beef chilli! Highly recommended and would definitely stay again.
In a beautiful, tranquil location in picturesque Drumnadrochit, beside one of the most famous and romantic stretches of water in the world, this traditional Scottish hotel dates back to around 1740.

The smell of mould was so bad I had an asthma attack and had to leave and book elsewhere which ended up costing a lot more money as accommodation was scarce..

Wonderful place on the south side of Loch Ness. The waterfall is spectacular and the hiking in woodland is astounding. It’s one of the few places around the lake where you can actually hike along the coast..

Foyers is in a beautiful part of the world.
Foyers is in a beautiful part of the world. It is in the country side therefore you can see a part of Scotland that the usual tourist doesn't see. I loved the garden and the rambling old house, looking over Loch Ness. The most important part was the comfortable bed and quite well appointed room. The owners were delightful and made us very comfortable. It is not far from a local pub where you can get a lovely meal. The breakfast that was included was scrumptious and substantial. I wish we had stayed a bit longer.

We received a lovely warm welcome from Chris at Foyers and loved every moment of our stay. The property and setting are beautiful with a view from the dining room of the pretty garden and it's wildlife as well as a direct view to Loch Ness. Our pretty room was great, with everything we needed including a private door to a small enclosed area and the garden - perfect for our dog. Elly whipped up delicious dinner and breakfast and our spaniel, Pringle, loved her breakfast sausage. We were grateful to Chris for his recommendation of dog walking spots which were great. Arrive as guests & leave as friends - we did! Can't wait to return for longer.

It's a stunning place, we were there 2 nights.
It's a stunning place, we were there 2 nights. We walked from our hotel down to the Loch and back up through a beautiful wood by the river. It was a strenuous walk, lots of steps up but really lovely. Foyers is a small village spread down the valley from the road. Not a lot to do at night but if come prepared to entertain yourself it's tranquil and restful. Short drive to Inverness and things to do on the Loch in the day. We really enjoyed our time there and we would go back.

A quaint quiet noise free village with local shops.
A quaint quiet noise free village with local shops. Very little traffic. Excellent scenery. Tourist attraction Falls of Foyers. Not far away from Fort Augustus where the Caledonian Canal begins where one can see the road bridge opening and the lock gates opening and various boats navigating the locks on their way up the canal. From Foyers Inverness is a short drive away with its excellent shopping, Castle, indoor market, Theatre, miniature railway, Cruises to look for Dolphins, Fort George a very old military fort constructed to protect the forts inhabitants from attack by an enemy.
Where to begin! The facilities were lovely, well-kept, and very clean. Our room was extremely comfortable! There were many animals (including roosters and cats!) around the house, which we absolutely loved. The surrounding area offers lovely nature walking routes to Foyers Fall and Loch Ness shores. Chris and Ellie were both very charming, humorous, and kind people — this elevated the stay that much more. Their breakfast, which they make right in front of you in the dining room, was one of the better breakfasts we have had in Scotland.
Beautiful building full of character!! Lovely views straight over Loch Ness .wonderful woodland gardens. Nigel and Richard fabulous hosts. They have recently taken over this hotel . It does need work doing to freshen it all up . They have been working really hard and that’s why I gave them high rates because I can see the potential they have great plans ahead . There meals are very wholesome and tasty . Nothing is too much trouble for them . Beds are so comfortable!! We stayed 7 nights , no complaints
The room was traditional and cosy even had an electric blanket. Food was GREAT and what a breakfast. This hotel is small and has a very warm homely feel and everything you could wish for. The staff are so lovely and nothing is too much. We were on a tour of Scotland and had stayed in lots of larger hotels but Foyers House was by far the nicest, not big but big on what it gives you. The views for our rooms were of the Loche. Just lovely
Would 100% recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a tranquil stay near loch Ness. Louise is incredibly welcoming and thoughtful; you will be greeted by her wonderful cats and an impressive collection of whiskey options on arrival. The room is comfy and cozy, with everything that you need and an amazing view. Excellent value for money!
Bedroom was clean and comfy. Had a nice view of the Loch from our room. There was even a telescope to look through to view the loch. At the hotel there was a few friendly cats that loved to be fussed and were very cute. The location is good, only around a 30-40 minute drive from Inverness. Nice sitting area with a range of board games and books.
Chris and Elly are incredibly welcoming. They have a menagerie of creatures to entertain from their own cats and friendly rooster to regular visits from a pair of pheasants, a nightly badger visitor, deer and numerous birds. A very short drive or downhill walk has you at Loch Ness - which you can see through the window as you eat breakfast.
We had a lovely view of the Loch from our bedroom which was really nice. We had our dinner on the terrace overlooking Loch Ness, it was very sunny and there were no midges which was a huge bonus. The rooms were very pleasant, nicely decorated and comfortable. We were given a glass of prosecco each on arrival which was a lovely gesture.
Located in a beautiful position with loch views is this characterful property with all the comforts of home. The hosts, Elly and Chris, have gone the extra mile to exceed expectation. For anyone who likes quality accommodation, but insists on the personal touch, then Foyers Bay should be on the list of places to stay in Scotland.
Fantastic accommodation in the heart of the beautiful Foyers.
Our room was stunning and facilities to match.
Food & drinks were amazing, definitely compliments to the Chef.
Location is stunning, with outdoor seating area looking over Lochness, would definitely return in the future thank you to all at Foyers House 😊
Foyers Bay Country House is a great place to stay I can highly recommend. The room was comfortable with a lovely view of Loch Ness, it's a great base to drive around the highlands exploring, Elle, Chris and Arthur(!) are great hosts. The bonus is all the wonderful wildlife around
Great hosts. We arrived via late train into Inverness. We were provided with platters of food in our rooms. Ate breakfast and evening meals and food was lovely. Bed was more comfortable than our own at home.! Fantastic location with gorgeous views. will be returning
We liked the location at south of loch ness! We had a big and clean room! The bathroom (shower and toilet are in two seperate room) is shared with two other room wich was no problem. The location has a restaurant that serves food until 8.15pm and a great whysky bar!
Amazing property in stunning location with wonderful balcony view over Loch Ness. Only one lodge next door, well screened so very private. Towels and robes for the hot tub provided. We had everything we needed, although see comment below.
The hotel is excellent. The room #7 has superb style. The furniture are amazing. The food was delicious. The view from the hotel pub is amazing. Very close to the loch. And the most important the staff is very friendly and professional.
Absolutely amazing atmosphere inside of the lodge. fully furnished, had all kitchen appliances, everything was in a great condition, very clean house, very quiet area. that’s definitely the best place to be and definitely coming back.
Staff were super friendly and helped out with any questions we had. Room was pretty spacious and nice. Hotel is in a nice location between Inverness and Fort Augustus so was a nice place to rest when holiday.
Beautiful setting, great food! Louise and Terry are wonderful hardworking hosts. Make reservations at the wee dram and be on time. Delicious and a beautiful view of the Loch while you dine.
