Lovely Inn. Stylish decoration and furnishings, cosy atmosphere. Very old building full of character. Staff very friendly, literally nothing was too much trouble. Family bedroom had everything you need, bathroom had bath as well as a separate shower. Big car park and a large garden area with seating. Ending up joining in with Morris Dancing troupe who arrived… but that was our choice, not compulsory!

The staff were pleasant, and the food in the bar and for breakfast was good. It is obviously popular with the locals.

Staff all lovely and helpful. Room modern and comfortable. Very attractive courtyard setting. Some nice touches offering fresh milk. Interesting, historic building. Great location in centre of town. Very good value. Good selection of local beers and alcohol free options in the bar.

I know Frome as I lived here in the 80s. Lovely quaint market town, but it has become more busy and parking is difficult generally. Two theatres... great! And lots of entertainment in Cheese and Grain. Very hilly place, ok if you’re fit to walk everywhere, if not there are buses.

Lots going on and plenty of places to wander around. Interesting independent shops and eating places (but book ahead at the weekend fof evening dining). Good as a base for exploring West Wiltshire and Somerset.

The George hotel, fronting on to a busy main road, was noisy; it was only single-glazed. From what we could tell, Frome offers no other hotels - shame.
There were some nice eating places in the town; we visited a fine Italian restaurant on three evenings, no less.
We also happened on an excellent coffee/chocolate shop, appropriately called Choc. The staff were excellent, as was the produce.
Frome benefits from a railway station, with frequent services to Bath and beyond, also to Weymouth. Alas, for us it involved a mile-long walk from the centre of the town.

Absolutely beautiful and quirky.
Absolutely beautiful and quirky. Loads of independent shops and eateries. Wonderful independent cinema and fabulous old-fashioned bakery with gorgeous cakes.
The Lamb and Fountain is the most incredible old-fashioned pub in a backstreet. Like stepping back in time. Delicious and very cheap farmhouse cider on draft and cheese and onion rolls for sale. Has a lovely courtyard garden down an alleyway out the back.

We stayed at the George in Nunney which is the most beautiful little village. Outdoor seating at the pub both in their gardens and over the road where you can sit by the river with a perfect view of the castle.
Their is an ancient monument and a lovely church, a picture perfect little village.
The castle is free to walk around in to go inside.
We ate in the George and the food was excellent both for dinner and breakfast. The staff are police, efficient and helpful.
I couldn't recommend both the pub and the village more.
The Cornerhouse is in a great location for exploring and close to the town. The room had just been refurbished, so it was all new and spotlessly clean. There was a nice choice of breakfast and the staff were warm and welcoming.
Just be aware (July 2023) they are currently looking for an evening cook, so there are no evening meals. We were recommended a restaurant within a few minutes walk which was really lovely and there are lots of places to eat in Frome.
This is a small family home and has that feel. The cottage is a short walk to the lanes of Frome and felt well located. It only took 10 mins to walk home each night. The area is quiet and parking was easy. The kitchen was particularly nice and the main room we spent time in as it was spacious, light and airy. The master bedroom is big and the bed comfortable. The cottage was simply laid out and easy to be in.
Lovely location in Frome, top of the hill. But it was an uphill trek getting back to the hotel after a meal at the Italian. We had two rooms, travelled with another couple (family). Rooms we nice and clean generally. Most important: great customer service from Helena, couldn't fault her and such a wonderful personality :-) And, great breakfast....tasty and well-cooked, again done by Helena.
This hotel has been updated to a good standard, its very warm and welcoming .
The location is ideal for access to Frome town centre .Room was clean and comfortable.
Lovely breakfast and evening meal.
The pub area was busy in the evening, as our stay was on Friday, but really good atmosphere.
Overall good value.
The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The hotel is centrally located to food and shops. Lotte bar offered drinks and a wonderful jazz band. The food at Lotte Bistro was excellent! Staff was wonderful and friendly.
The terrace area and bar were really pleasant and we had a good night here.
The setting is beautiful.
The chap doing the maintenance etc was really helpful and a nice guy.
The outside spa pool would have been nice if we’d had our trunks.
The hotel has a busy and vibrant bar area. The food in the restaurant and the breakfast were excellent. The location in the heart of Frome is perfect. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Lovely room on top floor.
Lovely listed building. Lovely ambience full of character.
Claire and her husband couldn’t of been more welcoming made feel at home. Lovely breakfast and lovely character dining area.
