From arriving to leaving the staff were exceptional. Room exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the crows nest. Spent the weekend fossiling and taking photographs. The kitchen was fully equipped and facilities were spotless. We will be back.

Parking was a big plus as it's on the outskirts of Whitby so you could bus in and taxi back. Shower had great pressure and the room had a large TV on the wall in the with prime I could log into.

The quality of the accommodation at the Horngarth is exceptional. Emma and Antony have really given a lot of thought to the extra touches that make a guest's stay memorable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this accommodation.

Fantastic views from dining room. Efficient staff. Breakfast good. Tinned grapefruit and prunes are a bit 1970’s for breakfast - fruit needs more imagination. Porridge good but portion small. Sausages and fried bread spot on!
Set in a 17th-century building, this guest accommodation serves local, fresh seafood in its restaurant and has elegant rooms.

A beautiful unique building, full of character. We brought our small dog, we felt very welcome. Breakfast was held at the dog friendly dinning room. All the staff were very friendly and breakfast was delicious..

Wow! What a great place just superb!.. Like being at home for a long weekend and made to feel so welcome. Everything and I mean everything you'd want from a stay away.
We left it as spotless as we found it. Will definitely be back when our schedule allows.

We liked the solitude and abundance of walks available.
We liked the solitude and abundance of walks available. This location is suitable for active walkers and hikers but could be challenging for family's with young children.
The fylingthorpe inn provides a good menu at reasonable prices and the delights of Robin Hoods bay is close by
Perfect place to take the kids. We have been a few times now and doesn’t disappoint. clean accommodation, fab themed cafe with cosy wood burner. friendly helpful staff and good food and drink. It’s a youth hostel and not a five star hotel but this is a fab youth hostel.
This is a hidden gem. A hotel that sits on the beach but away from everything else. You are hidden away from everything, but it’s still bustling. Such a lovely magical feel to it. Cake is amazing.
