Delightful, helpful staff. Excellent dinner and breakfast (scrambled egg would put many 4 and 5 star hotels to shame!). Convenient location for M6. Almost exactly half way between St Andrews and London. Extremely quiet. Easy, plentiful parking in hotel's car park. Well appointed, spacious room. Garstang is a small market town, within easy reach of Morecambe bay, Lake District and the Peninnes. The town does not have major stores but a very good selection of local businesses which adds to its charm. There are a range of pleasant rural walks in the area. Garstang is a beautiful little place, it's perfect for ramblers and business people as its on a main trunk road to lancaster/ blackpool and Preston. Its also in countryside so walkers are welcome and Garstang is just one of lots of villages with Cabus,Forton and others within good walking distance. It's a friendly place I would certainly recommend to others.

The town was pleasant, I took a walk by the river. There seemed to be a lot of pubs & cafes in the town. However, I was there to visit a friend in a care home so wasn't really there in a tourist capacity

We were surprised that you could not hear any sound from the bar when we went to the room. We could hear the traffic passing throughout the night. Room was small and so was the bed. Staff serving breakfast was very friendly, bar/hotel staff not so much as they were very busy with pub customers.
