Very friendly people/city. Great restaurants and good value for money. A lot of restaurants do small plates which are good value and means you can sample different things. La laterna great Italian. 63rd & 1st also great. Cote on west Nile street, great breakfast and not too expensive. Easy to walk around city and also good bus/subway services. West end lanes and merchant city recommended.
There's alot to do in the city centre. My favourite part about Glasgow is the variety in people and cultures you see and meet. Will spend a fair amount of time drinking in the eves which tends to end up in a social with strangers.
I was in Glasgow for roughly 15 hours and could have left sooner. Of all the places my friends and I travelled around Scotland, we all agreed that we wouldn't want to return to Glasgow. The area we were felt dirty and a little sketchy, but not wholly unsafe. It was expensive to park (yes, I know a car isn't needed for the city, but we were road-tripping around Scotland so we had it). Perhaps it was the area we stayed or that we didn't check out other parts of the city, but I wasn't overly impressed. If you do typically like cities, I can definitely see where it could be enjoyed.
Glasgow is a great city. As a Scot of course I am going to say that but it is true. Lots of lovely restaurants, great shopping and too many visitor attractions to count. If you have never been then you should put it on your bucket list.
Around every corner some spectacular sight to take your breath away! Locals hard to understand at times but so generous, kind, and friendly. History and contemporary worlds mingling in such splendor —the whole city feels like a celebration.
I had 3 nights at Glasgow Youth Hostel. I stayed in a dormitory but private rooms can be booked. The hostel is perfectly placed if you want to chill-out in the city. On the edge of Kelvingrove Park with the Kelvingrove Museum, Hunterian Museum and Mackintosh House within easy walking distances. The Kelvin Walkway to the Botanic Gardens is an absolute gem of a walk - I was lucky to have a perfect blue-sky day. I didn't visit the centre of the city on this stay but concentrated on the Kelvingrove Park area. I used the excellent Subway system between Buchanan Street (Queen Street station) and Kelvinbridge. I also visited the 'Home of an Art Lover' by using the Subway to Ibrox and walking to Bellahouston Park. This Mackintosh house is a great wonder of Glasgow.
Amazing location in the heart of Glasgow city centre. The hotel is close to everything, bars, restaurants, pubs, shops, 4 train stations (Central, Queen St, High St, Argyle St), 2 subway stations (St. Enoch, Buchanan St), Glasgow Green park, George Square, and others. The room seemed recently renovated and had all the expected comforts. A lift is also available. The staff at the reception were very friendly and accommodated all our requests. Real value-for-money choice. It will definitely be my choice when I visit Glasgow again.
The hotel itself was like a work of art. Absolutely stunning and it smelled AMAZING. We ordered room service and the food was DELICIOUS and fairly reasonably priced (as far as room service goes). The staff was kind, welcoming, and efficient. The location was good and quiet, although you should be prepared for a 20 minute walk to most of Glasgow’s attractions. The room was HUGE and very beautifully decorated. We loved it and will definitely stay here again! The AV setup for the TV and the light dimmers were a nice touch as well.
Everything. Brilliant staff, the friendly lady who welcomed us and checked us in with a complimentary malt, the efficient, cheerful bar and breakfast staff and the lady who cleaned the rooms for whom nothing was too much trouble. This gem of a hotel is a short walk from the city centre, the rooms are comfortable and well appointed and the breakfast selection is large and varied. The full cooked breakfast is superb. The price is reasonable too! This will be our go to hotel for future trips to Glasgow.
North West, Glasgow
Room: small but with a very comfortable bed overlooking flats courtyard at the rear of the property. Cost: cheap for Glasgow, not far from city centre on a bus route but with lots of pubs/restaurants within walking distance of hotel if you wished to dine locally. Free parking is available at weekends in the street however at other times you will need to pay by parking meter by the hour, not cheap. Good for a one night stopover en route.
Glasgow City Centre, Glasgow

Always highly recommend by friends and Ayer stayin her for the first time 28/08/21 we’ll be staying here from now on. Such a different and more enjoyable experience from a normal hotel.
Hotel staff were absolutely lovely, so helpful, location was spot on right next to Central Station & the city centre. My only minor complaint was its a bit noisy with being so close to the train station, trains are noisy! But don’t let that put you off it was excellent value for money & I would stay again again - Glasgow is superb
The hotel's location on the edge of the city centre was perfect. The room and bathroom were a good size and very clean. The wifi was reliable and we loved the discreet nightlight that comes on when you get up during the night. The staff were friendly and helpful. The generous 12 noon checkout suited us perfectly.
Friendly, helpful staff. Slap bang in the middle of Glasgow central. Great location! The beds were comfortable and for a hotel of that size thete was minimal noise from other residents. Would defo stay again.
I thought the room was brilliant, really comfy and very smart. The shower was amazing! The hotel is in central of Glasgow so location is perfect. Staff were friendly and always there to help if needed.

The room was amazing and comfortable. It’s located in a perfect location in Glasgow city centre. Near Buchanan bus station and subway. The hotel restaurant serves the best French cuisine!
