Point A Hotel Glasgow 3 stars

Hotel in Glasgow City Centre, Glasgow

Point A Hotel Glasgow is situated in the heart of Glasgow, 300 metres from Royal Concert Hall. Within walking distance of all major attractions, the whole of Glasgow is on your doorstep. The hotel was a happy surprise booked last minute for an amazing price. The location is amazing too! We were surprised with how good the room and the service were for the price paid. The room was small, with no window, so maybe ideal only for one or two nights. The room is really modern and was really clean. The bed was really good! Also, everyone in staff was really kind.

The Z Hotel Glasgow

Hotel in Glasgow City Centre, Glasgow

In the city centre beside George Square and 200 metres from Queen Street Station, The Z Hotel Glasgow features compact and luxury accommodation in a contemporary design. Awesome location, staff was friendly. Rooms were really nice though the shower can set off the smoke alarm which is really loud. For movie buffs it’s on the corner from world war z which I thought was really cool.

ibis budget Glasgow 3 stars

Hotel in South, Glasgow

In Springfield Quay, the ibis budget Glasgow is 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of Glasgow. It is surrounded by restaurants and leisure facilities, including a 12-screen cinema, bowling and a casino.... The hotel was in a quiet neighbourhood not too far from the city centre. There was a variety of cafes and restaurants in the lot downstairs. Access was easy and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There is free coffee and tea available at the reception, as well as water, microwave and for additional pay different snacks, and drinks. The room itself had everything that might be necessary for the stay and there is always a chance to ask if something additional is needed. Even though the hotel is above a parking lot - the view is quite nice.

ibis Glasgow City Centre – Sauchiehall St 3 stars

Hotel in Glasgow City Centre, Glasgow

In Glasgow’s vibrant centre, just 2 minutes from Sauchiehall Street, ibis Glasgow City Centre – Sauchiehall St is a short walk from Princes Square. 24h reception, quite newly refurbished room. The double usb adapter was a nice touch (forgot my socket adapter for the UK). Delicious breakfast, plenty to choose from (fresh fruit, good coffee, 5 types of cheese, sausages, bacon, eggs, pancakes etc) - served in the Novotel next door (no need to step outside the building, they communicate internally).

FAQs about hotels in Glasgow

Fun-Loving and Forward Thinking

Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow combines Victorian architecture and a vibrant arts scene. A former European City of Culture, it is home to many national organisations including the Scottish Ballet and the National Theatre of Scotland. The museums are also world class. Not to be missed are the futuristic-looking Glasgow Science Centre and the eclectic exhibits at the Kelvingrove.

Lined with Georgian buildings, George Square is the city’s focal point and the spot for Glasgow Hogmanay celebrations. Fanning out from here are streets housing venues for the city’s main love: music. From classical concerts to up-and-coming bands, every taste is catered for.

As host of the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Glasgow is also a city of sport. Scotland’s 2 most iconic football clubs - Celtic and Rangers - are based here, as is the national football stadium Hampden Park. The Scottish Football Museum is also an excellent walk through the beautiful game.

Last but not least is the shopping in Glasgow. Shopping centres cover everything from high street brands to international designers. So when you fly into Glasgow Airport, make sure you’ve left enough space in your bags!
