The room was clean and cosy with everything you could possibly need. Excellent shower facilities. Beautiful outdoor space to relax in the garden centre area. The manager was super friendly and very helpful. The lady in the shop was lovely, really helpful and a joy to talk to, she was more than eager to help with anything we asked. Really enjoyed our stay, 100% would recommend.

Dellwood Hotel, hotel in Glenbarr

Dellwood Hotel is set on the main road into Campbeltown. Set In its own grounds and 5 minutes’ walk from the town centre, the family-run Dellwood has a restaurant, bar and free WiFi.

We chose Dellwood (17th-19th April 2024) on a whim, and so glad we did. Bruce and Tracey were the ideal hosts. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. We'd booked a double but they were more than happy to set-up a blow-up mattress for our son. They also opened the downstairs bar up for a late afternoon whiskey (or 2) where we found out they knew the farm at Gobagrennan where long distant relatives (ie 1700-1800s) lived and worked . Our stay was fantastic and we would not hesitate to go back. Breakfast was more than ample. It was a great stop and disappointed we could not stay longer. Dog friendly and some great stories told by the hosts...very grateful to Bruce for sharing a (now very treasured) trinket with our son. On our list to return!

Even a lovely cake on arrival - they really look after their guests!

This is a lovely little gem, with a little walk (5 minute) up the hill there are some amazing views to take in. The room and directions were spot on, we met some lovely people (other guests) there too, it's a short drive into Campbeltown where we were attending for my dads funeral. I would highly recommend this place for you to stay, I will book again when I come back to see my dad again.

I loved the rooms, nice decoration, really clean and comfortable beds. I did not enjoy the fact that bathroom was not inside the room, however really close and it was our private bathroom. Really good breakfast in the morning, staff really friendly.

Glenbarr was a very small village but we were only a short drive away from Cambelltown for provisions, meals out. Glenbarr is not far from the ferries to Islay and Arran although we didnt use them this trip. Also we travelled to Tarbert another lovely town.
