Stayed as part of our NC500 tour. Nicely decorated hotel set in a Scotland Forestry country park with miles of trails to walk and bike. Good reception. All members of staff friendly towards us and our dog. Unable to eat with the dog in the restaurant as expected but they set up a lovely table in the pleasant lounge. Quiet area but not too far from Dumfries and convenient for the journey south (or North toward Glasgow and Loch Lomond). Room comfortable. Decent electric shower. Would be the choice to stay again if in the area.

Easy to find. Very friendly hosts. Excellent breakfast. Most comfortable bed in a spacious bedroom. No road noise even though facing the road. The Shower room looked as new.
Both hosts were very knowledgeable about the area.
