Fabulous time at Waltzing Weasel. Carol was a fantastic host - lovely breakfast, very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Appreciated the little thoughtful touches - lots of coffee, tea, milk etc and even a little fridge outside the room if it ran out. Good big car park.
The view from our room was stunning.
Great location - beautiful scenery and Hayfield village only a 10 min or so walk with another really nice pub Sycamore Inn in the other direction.
The bed was soooo comfy!
Thank you to all at Waltzing Weasel!

Glossop is a fabulous market town, with great walking in the dark peak close by. Culturally it is developing its offer with galleries, restaurants and events. It has close access links, with Manchester a 30min train ride away.

Beautiful countryside walks lots of dog friendly pubs. Local taxi company Padtax were amazing and if you let them know you have a little dog on booking and give them notice they will do everything to accommodate the request and are very reasonably priced x

Stay in Old Glossop vs Glossop proper.
Stay in Old Glossop vs Glossop proper. The whole area, however, very scenic. manor Park nice for a walk, especially on a hot day. Aircraftwreck Superfortress ‘Overexposed’ is 4 mile walk uphill but worth a visit. Go,to the Queens Head for a Traditional English Meal vs The Bulls Head for tapas.

Pub is in Old Glossop, 10 - 15 mins. walk from Glossop town centre. Old Glossop very quaint in an interesting way. Two other pubs and a lovely park 2 mins. walk from the Queens. Country walks also right on doorstep. Glossop itself a pleasant town with all the amenities one could reasonably require available. Regular trains from Manchester Piccadilly with a half hour journey time.

The hotel is in a lovely part of the country and is situated in the centre of town with all facilities and was ideal for our party of 6 doing the Trans pennine cycle trail The Norfolk provided excellent secure storage for our bikes.
The staff were really welcoming, friendly and helpfull throughout my stay. The housekeeping was to a really high standard throughout. My room was large and well serviced with good heating you can control.Bed and pillows were the most comfortable I have had in hotels.
The scrambled agg I had was the best I have had in a hotel and a great price. It was really easy to come and go as you needed especially leaving early in the morning. No problem parking. Great area close to the station perfect for the football. I will stay again.
The location in Old Glossop is really scenic and lovely and the pub itself is lovely and quaint. The room was really clean and really nicely decorated, the bathroom was also spotless and the hosts provided a good variety of amenities. The bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows were really comfy too. The view from our window of the church across the street was beautiful as well. The staff were also really lovely.
Everything was exceptional. We enjoyed the breakfast options as well as the dinner options. We chose to shop at local businesses and support local restaurants over the course of two days, therefore, we didn't get a chance to partake in the hotel's dinner. But the breakfast was amazing.
QA is in a lovely location, next to the river. It is convenient to Glossop Town centre either by car or taxi. The pub is very welcoming, staff are pleasant. The breakfast is great, plenty of choice, with fruit, cereals yogurt and the full English. Lots if refills for tea and coffee.
Great little stay in Glossop, perfect house if you're a big group. We were 8 adults and had a lovely time there. Very quiet and spacious. Good kitchen equipment and nice living room area. Quiet and comfy bedrooms. Perfectly located in the city center of Glossop!
A nice and clean hotel, really cosy and warm, friendly staff, situated perfectly for a good walk in the peaks - which is what we’d planned.
We really enjoyed our two nights there…we had a few beers after our walks in some very close local pubs. Superb
The location couldn’t be better, lovely park opposite and centre of town a few minutes walk away. Old Glossop can be reached through the park making it a lovely quiet walk. Host provided a travel cot for us and had it set up on arrival.
We travel extensively for business and visit many hotels. The Queen’s Arms is by the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. Everything was so clean that it just sparkled! Kudos to the cleaning staff.
I really enjoyed my stay, it was comfortable and cosy. It is dog friendly (with prior agreement) and host provided 2 dog bowls. The house is close to the station.
