Beautifully, recently renovated period property offering the best of boutique vacation. The food was outstanding, some of the best I’ve eaten, and the bedroom was super comfy with a huge bed and river view. The staff were attentive, friendly and relaxed. We would highly recommend this stay.

Room was very nice, with a good standard of decoration with more of a feel of a real bedroom than a hotel room. Ensuite bathroom was clean and modern. Dinner in the bar area (attached but separate to the hotel) was pricey but to a good standard and was good enough we ate there more than once.

Incredible location with stunning views. The hotel offers plenty of places for leisurely walks, which is perfect for those who enjoy nature. Perfect location and very nice building with beautiful hall, old lift and very nice room with view on the harbor. Great walk in quiet garden. Nice town and walks on the coast just near the hotel.

The host, location and room were great. The bed was a little too soft for us, and the plumbing was a bit noisy (but the building is very old). The roast supper and breakfast were tasty and generous.

The room had a lovely view across the harbour. The food was good - far too much on occasions but, apart from buffet on Saturday, always HOT! Staff friendly and helpful. Swimming pool clean and door opened very quickly each time I visited. Grounds are beautiful. We were so lucky with the weather - forecast said cloudy each day but we had wall-to-wall sunshine. Local bus service (hourly) passes the end of the drive - used our bus passes!!
