Marshall Meadows Manor House, hotel in Grantshouse

England's most northerly hotel, just 300 yards from the Scottish Border, the Marshall Meadows Manor House is set in 15 acres woodland gardens and boasts sea views and good food.

Lovely period type room with en-suite & that was just the standard room. Very friendly & efficient staff. Great bar selection. Food - both evening meal & breakfast was super-duper. Location is a couple of miles outside of town, but with lovely views over the fileds & pretty quiet - you don't hear the road traffic but faintly hear the trains.

Berwick upon Tweed, the border town between Scotland and England is twelve miles away from Grantshouse. One can stay in Grantshouse and visit the historic border town, if accommodation is unavailable in Berwick upon Tweed. The coast is not too far from Grantshouse. Grantshouse is probably good for walks and cycling.
