Perfect location, a few minutes from the town centre and the station and 10 min from the car rental. Room was spacious and clean and with a nice view of the river. Check in and check out was very quick. Impressive building from outside.

The snug was just as expected from photos on line . Enjoyed having the small seating area and being able to prepare breakfast in the kitchen . The bedroom upstairs was spacious with storage and chair .

Everything was first class and Merryll was an excellent host and communicator. Walk up to Whinfell Beacon as recommended by host was excellent- fantastic views at the beacon was a great reward. We took a picnic to spend more time at the top to soak in the views in the sunshine.
