In Kendal town centre, the Riverside Hotel is a 17th-century building with a state-of-the-art leisure club. Rooms have river views, and Windermere and the Yorkshire Dales are 15 minutes' drive away.

Perfect location, a few minutes from the town centre and the station and 10 min from the car rental. Room was spacious and clean and with a nice view of the river. Check in and check out was very quick. Impressive building from outside.

    Everything was first class and Merryll was an excellent host...

    Everything was first class and Merryll was an excellent host and communicator. Walk up to Whinfell Beacon as recommended by host was excellent- fantastic views at the beacon was a great reward. We took a picnic to spend more time at the top to soak in the views in the sunshine.
