Location was excellent - short walk to Tescos, easy walk to other shops and cafes on The Cob.
The breakfast set-up was unbelievable - the choice amazing . I opted for cooked breakfast, but tried the cereals as well - amazing choice of nuts, seeds, dried fruit, fresh fruit - there were nuts and seeds there I'd never tried in my Life before - it was great.

Great location, the grounds are lovely and well maintained. Nice walk up to the lake and the "rock". Site was quiet, only noise was the birds singing, blissfully. Caravan was clean and comfortable. Owners are helpful and made sure we had everything we needed.
Can't fault it really.

Overlooked by its majestic castle, Harlech should be a wonderful place but underinvestment (and probably the results of the pandemic) have left it with many shuttered shops and closed businesses. A great shame, as it's a shadow of the town it used to be.

Best beach in the world.
Best beach in the world. We spent 3 days on the beach in Harlech and could have spent much longer. Castle is always spectacular.
Travelled around on public transport only, went on Ffestiniog railway.
Great couple of shops in Upper Harlech selling all homewares, and fresh food. Groser Harlech great for breakfast pastries and organic produce.
Lovely walk around to find the 5 Merion chairs.
Woodland walk down from chair 3 to lower road through woodland, a cave and a waterfall in someone's garden.

As the weather wasn’t good.
As the weather wasn’t good. Heavy rain we didn’t get onto the beach as intended or indeed explore the local area as planned. Harlech has a lot to offer as we have been there previously and we intend to visit again. Country side and views are amazing and the Castle restaurant in Harlech does amazing food.

Harlech has a great Castle and an amazing beach (approx 5km long and separated into dog / no dog zones).
There is a lot of self catering accommodation but you really need to travel to the next town (20mins) for a bigger shop. Porthmadog has everything.
If you want to eat out in Harlech, there's very limited choice (we only found 2 good places, both hotels)
Besides the beach and castle, there is golf and good walks. If you after nightlife, probably not for you.
Dog friendly. We have 3 dogs (2 large and a small one)so trying to get a hotel anywhere that will cater for these is nearly impossible. This is without a doubt a massive selling point for the place.
Location is equally fantastic. The castle is right behind the place and the beach in 10 minute walk across the golf course.
Breakfast was lovely and made to order which was also a nice touch. Absolutely no fault with breakfast at all.
Boasts a classic Gin bar. We managed to clock up £180 on the first night just tasting them.
Just fell in love with the area and the Hotel was just perfect. Everybody were so friendly, helpful and cheerful.
The restaurant is amazing and breakfast was delicious - the coffee was excellent.
So many places to visit and I will be going back to continue my visits of the Castles. Did a Train Ride / Trek with llama's /Walking/Relaxing and strolling along the beach and of course Snowdonia amazing.
Adam and Tracy were exceptional hosts and made us feel so welcome during our stay at Byrdir House. Breakfast was fabulous and served at a time which suited us. The property was clean, comfortable and convenient to Harlech village. A perfect place to stay when visiting the Snowdonia coast and visiting tourist destinations in the local area. Highly recommend the castle cafe - cake was delicious!
We spent a lovely couple of days at Crown Lodge. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and the views from the room and in surrounding villages were breathtaking - even on the day it rained everywhere was stunning.
Large spacious room with really comfy bed and huge shower.
We will definitely be back for longer next time.
castle Cottage Inn is perfectly located in Harlech - just across from the Castle. Rooms are beautiful and charming. The owners are wonderfully gracious — so friendly. They have relatively recently taken ow worship of the property and eager to continue to make it an outstanding place to stay. Fabulous dinner and breakfast.
Location was perfect for where we wanted to go each day. Ground floor meant no lugging cases upstairs! Very tasteful & attractive interior. Best equipped kitchen of any property we have used. Good space for the two of us. Lovely gifts [edible] and milk on our arrival! Useful booklet of info about local pub etc.
I loved everything about this place. The house and gardens are beautiful with views of Snowden The location is perfect gorgeous beach (Harlech) 5 mins away. Everyone at the house are so warm and welcoming Delicious breakfast can’t wait to visit again 😊 xx
The Cottage was absolutely fabulous!!!
It had everything that we needed, was lovely and cosy.
The location was perfect a short walk down to the beach, and a short drive into Harlech itself.
We had a lovely stay and can't wait to return, we didn't want to leave
Deborah and her stuff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The guest house is ideally situated for exploring North Wales, a beautiful area with every kind of landscape.
Very sweet little home, kitchen well equipped. Walking distance to town shops & Castle. Comfortable living area and beds. Nice shower & sea view. Close to the beautiful beach. Easy to park in local car parks with the permit.
Saul was the perfect host, got a hot cuppa on arrival which was most welcome, made me feel at home and gave loads of helpful information on the area. Great value for money.
Location is perfect, right near the beach to watch the sunset. Also close to a decent pub, the castle and a little longer walk to the caverns and neolithic burial chamber.
Beautiful views, easy walk to the beach, lovely and clean. The goodie bag was a nice touch and the explorer pass was warmly received. Convenient parking too.
Superb location and room. Good breakfast. The proprietors Mark and Linda were very friendly, and helped to make our visit to Harlech a very successful one.
