The Kings Arms, hotel in Hawkesbury

Situated in the village of Didmarton in the Cotswolds, The King Arms offers free Wi-Fi, a bar, and an award-winning restaurant.

It is a lovely venue, in need of some serious TLC. It was clean, the staff were attentive. Wine was good and I am sure the garden is a fab place to be in the summer. I considered renting the little cottage for a week, but that also needs some serious money invested to upgrade it. These are only my observations. The peeling paint, worn-out carpets, shower needs re-grouting and maybe give the garden furniture a little TLC.

The Beaufort Hunt, hotel in Hawkesbury

The Beaufort Hunt has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Chipping Sodbury.

Stayed here countless times, and always get the same excellent treatment from Mike and the team. Breakfasts are good locally sourced produce and quick to serve. Burt is always on point with delivery! Rooms are spacious, and have character to be expected from a historic coaching inn. Easy access to the town.

Hawkesbury Upton is a nice village, centrally located for lots of tourist attractions. There are lots of nice walks in the surrounding countryside. It has a well stocked shop and 2 pubs. The Beaufort Arms is very nice, with good beer and food. The Fox Inn had recently reopened and was having teething troubles, which I hope they sort out.

Fantastic service. Everyone weeny above and beyond. I was doing a 2000 mile 20 day charity bicycle ride and picked this hotel as stopover for day 18. Everything we’d perfect and the staff event kept the kitchen I open for us as we were late in due to the terrible weather that day.

David and his wife were wonderful hosts. David made a huge roasted dinner for us. This is a great location in the middle of Hawkesbury Upton with easy access to the Cotswold Way. There’s also a convenient small grocery across the street.

Nothing. I only ever give fair reviews, but I have to honestly say that The Fox Inn at Hawkesbury Upton is the worst place I have ever stayed. Avoid at all costs!
