Delta Hotels by Marriott Breadsall Priory Country Club, hotel in Heage

Renovated in 2023, this historic hotel lies within 300 acres of private parkland, a 10-minute drive from Derby. It has a spa, 18-hole golf courses, an indoor pool, and a fitness area.

I stay at the marriots for work often and rarely get chance to bring partner and kids. We chose this hotel as we had an event in Loughborough. It was wonderful. Spa was just right size. Spotlessly clean. Easy changing rooms for bringing my 8 year old son in with me - seperate adult only area and a cubicle for him to hide behind! Pool lovely temp, never overcrowded. Staff all amazing from reception, to spa, to dining room. The hotel mentions the amount of walking. They are not exaggerating. The walking is NOT for the immobile, its like Eschers Relativity! If you have mobility issues, call ahead, make the hotel very very aware. We managed, even with me being 25weeks pregnant but we wouldn't have managed the walk from the room to the pool with a pram, you are up and down stairs alot. Again the hotel are very clear about this but do not underestimate their transparency! Food amazing as always.
